This item arrived safe and packaged very well.This metal detector was bought as a gift for my son. We live in a very large country estate, surrounded by fields. Over the summer we were visited by a couple of people that wanted to run a metal detector around the fields looking for treasure. This inspired my boy to want to try it!We spent a few minutes setting it up and getting to know the device. This was helped quite a lot by the detailed instruction manual. We didn't realise quite how much this detector could do... not just looking for metal!We set it up to find any metal, although the settings allowed it to find specifically treasure type materials or even set it to find an exact metal. That's a great feature!As we were doing this together, we let the audio go through the little speaker, but when doing this alone we would be using the headphone socket. That's great to ensure that the local wildlife is not disturbed.This kit included more than just the detector too... we especially found the fold up shovel incredibly useful! When we heard the beeps we used this to dig up our treasure... ok well it wasn't exactly treasure! But it was our first ever detected piece of metal. But it did end up in the recycling bin as it was totally worthless.But we now look forward to spending some more free time combing the grounds until we come across something a little more interesting!I highly recommend this product.

Generally it's a lovely beginners metal detector and for the money great value and lots of fun

I was impressed by the build quality of the detector and it was very easy to assemble. Regrettably, the detecting performance was unreliable and inaccurate (it failed to see a 50p coin on the surface during initial testing).I really wanted this detector to live up to its promises because it seemed to offer all the features of more expensive machines.Children would probably find this Coocheer fun to use but I'm sorry to say, not good enough for serious detectorists.However, I received a commendable, fast no quibble refund.

Connections keep coming loose and giving false signals, flimsy.

Advance present for young grandson not yet used hence middle * rating. Hopefully efficacious?

The media could not be loaded. This is great metal detector. Is so easy project to assemble. The quality of this detector is well built. Metal detector is lightweight with adjustable handle. Display easy to understand and is quite responsive to different metals. Comes with folding shovel and nice case . Would be great for hobby of any skill level.

Setting up the metal detector is easy enough. Build quality is decent and when using it, it isn’t heavy at all. There are different modes you can choose from so you can only focus on certain types of metals when on the hunt. The coil is waterproof so even if water is submerged, it will continue to work just fine. The lcd is backlight so even if you are out at night, you will be able to view the screen clearly.
