So snug that it takes effort to get it on, but once there, it is sturdy and will clearly stay put. Material is thick and unlikely to crack or weaken.

After looking up the size required for one of my husband's kayaks, I added this to my order for his birthday. It seems to be made of some really tough stuff. Much more durable materials than I expected, based on cost. Ridiculously sturdy construction. I'm kayak illiterate, but it was easy installing this by myself. I thought it would be a lot tighter and I'd have to fight with it, but it fits snugly enough without requiring a struggle. Didn't even need a YouTube video! Will definitely protect interior from rain and critters. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I have an Old Town Loon 120 with 22" x 56" cockpit area. This cover fits perfectly and is very well made. Definitely waterproof material, but still flexible and easy to manage. It has a rubberized edge around it and grips under the rim of the cockpit extremely well. It was not so tight that it was impossible to put on by myself. I've had that problem before with other kayaks and cockpit covers. No doubt this will keep the bugs from making a home in the cockpit between trips. I have not tried driving with it on yet, but if I used the hull strap included, I'm sure it would stay put well enough.

We leave our kayaks out in the sun by the lakeside so they need a good overall cover. But being in Florida the bugs love to climb under that and get inside. This cockpit seal takes care of that problem! I bought one of these years ago for my kayak and it is exceptionally durable. It handles the Florida sun, is tight around the cockpit so nothing gets under the adjustable elastic edge and it's waterproof. I was so thankful to find this online and bought one for my husband as well. It's the best as far as durability, being waterproof, and keeping the bugs out. I highly recommend it.

Just got it delivered Saturday, and drove over 6 hours away to purchase a kayak. First time i put it on the kayak, it fit like a glove, just some small adjustments here and there.. only took about 20 seconds to make sure it was good. The securing strap really helped to sooth my worries about the cover coming off during the drive through the mountains 40-65mph and even the high speeds of the highway (70-75mph). This thing stayed on the kayak the whole time, helped to save my gas mileage and i was surpringsly shocked at the mileage i got with a kayak on top of my forester! I got 31mpg on the way to Vermont to pickup the kayak (took the NY State thruway for over 100 miles and then went for about 200 miles through the Adirondacks into Vermont. On the way back with the kayak cover secured i got a steady 28mpg on the way back... considering my forester says highway mileage im supposed to get 27, i'd say this was definitely a win! Only reason for 4 stars right now, is beacuse i just bought it. We'll see how it holds up around the 4-6 month mark, and then i'd probably give it the 5th star if everything stays as it currently is.

I rolled a tandem kayak that takes a 1.4 spray skirt size without a second person in it a few times and it stayed in place without the use of the belly strap and it stayed sealed in place. The tension can be adjusted by re-tying the knot on the bungee cord. I also towed a trailer with 4 of these in use over 1000 miles round trip recently and had no problems (I did use the belly strap for that). During the kayak camping trip, I found it nice to be able to leave the kayaks out overnight and not have them full of bugs, pine needles, rain, and dew. My original purpose for buying these was to help keep my camping gear dry and avoid getting swamped if confronted with an unexpected wave, but they were nice for so much more than that.

I bought this cover for a kayak I was buying 7 hours from my home. We drove home in a driving wind and rain, with some sleet and snow. The cover is designed quite well. It firmly stayed in place. I was even able to use a cable lock into the seat area, that then exited out the side of the cockpit, and attached to the rack. Due to this cover having a integrated securing strap the cover was not compromised in any way. I have one of these for another kayak I use, and if I buy a different kayak in the future, requiring a different size, I will GLADLY buy another one of these to fit that kayak also. A fine product, indeed!

This is a quality Seal product. Fits our kayak perfectly, helping to keep critters and dirt out when we aren't using it. Make sure you measure to get the right size for your cockpit opening.

Fits perfectly on my kayak! Excellent quality! Exactly what I wanted/needed! As you know, you need to be able to put it on with just the right amount of struggle, haha. Once it's on, it's on, baby!! :D

The 1.7 fit my 14 foot kayak perfectly. She is winterized and sealed up for next season.
