We revisited our iconic arctic parka and were inspired to design the patrol down collection. Preserving heritage styling, the patrol down parka is fully insulated with premium warmth-trapping goose down, and the two-way concealed zipper and storm flap keep weather out. With its double-baffle construction, waterproof and breathable shell, and performance merino lining, this is simply the warmest parka we make. The hood features an adjustable drawcord, and the removable real coyote fur ruff adds a dash of luxury.

Bombproof winter jacket
I purchased this jacket for my partner after an exhaustive (and exhausting) search, and it answered our winter prayers! She's 5'8", 135lbs, and 32A, and this coat looks amazing on her. The non-fussy 70's silhouette hangs nice and straight, the coyote fur hood is fluffy and thick without being ostentatious, and there are lots of pockets inside and out, including well-placed fleece-lined hand warmer pockets at the chest and huge patch pockets that swallow up gloves, beanies, your keys and your wallet. Best of all, this puppy is WARM. We just moved to Michigan and had our first Midwestern winter with temps down to 0F, and this jacket kept her happy and protected against the elements. The jacket may be pricey, but it is a quality garment worth every cent. Woolrich does winter right! For reference, we also looked at The North Face, Canada Goose, Fjallraven, Burton, Soia & Kyo, and LL Bean.

Amazing expedition quality parka!
I bought 2 women's Patrol Down parkas in a size L (red) and XL (navy) due to reviews stating it was tight in the chest/shoulders. With such a good sale for black Friday I wanted to try both knowing they'd sell out quickly. . I just received the L and it fits surprisingly well! It is a tiny bit snugger in chest than body but not uncomfortably so. The red is it more interesting and stylish IMO than most black ot navy down parkas.I wanted a Canada Goose jacket but can't justify the expense for city life, even in Buffalo, NY. This coat is darn near the quality, warmth and looks of Canada Goose! It is less" Michelin Man" over stuffed in looks with a reasonably trim look for what it is. . The outside fabric is hefty nylon not cheap, thin polyester. IT IS WASHABLE which many down coats are not!. The coat is a great length for a jacket and sleeves are great length with thick knit cuffs.. I am 5'4".It would have room for a light but not heavy sweater but I think you would be very hot with layers. unless you are out in frigid weather. This not a car coat. You would overheat for anything but serious winter outside wear. and it would be very bulky (and hot) driving..The hood and neck are my only critique. The hood is snug but in an arctic blast walking around, I will need no hat The neck velcro and snaps and collar lining are a little uncomfortable and awkward despite merino inserts at neck (and armpits too). The removable coyote ruff is very nice but doesn't sit as a collar, it falls behind neck when not worn with hood. I can live with these issues for a coat of this caliber. Given this coat is only going to be worn a few months a year, this will probably last the rest of my life at 61 yrs!

Great Parka
Other than finding a folded tissue in the pocket and no tags attached (this coat was obviously used), this parka is great. Lots of pockets, great insulation and not too bulky. I'm glad I stayed with the SMALL, since I wanted a coat that I could fit a thick sweater underneath, or, a light one and still have it look nice. This one fits the bill; well-made, waterproof exterior, down filling, not too bulky and fits my 5'4" 135lb frame. Additionally, it has the Woolwich name, which I trust. A little pricey, but I love the fit. BTW: I bought a Northface Arctic Parka in a Small 2 years ago and that one fit really slim, and isn't as toasty as this Woolwich parka.

Good quality
I've been looking for a warm winter parka, and this one checks off most of the requirements on my list. I was told at the Woolrich store that the Patrol parka is less fitted than the higher end parkas at the store, so was a little worried it might be baggy, but I ordered my usual size Small, and it was just right...any smaller and I wouldn't feel comfortable. I agree with the previous review that the sleeves are on the shorter side, which was to my advantage since I'm 5'4", but for someone taller, they may be too short. My only minor gripe is that there are what seem to be patches of thin cotton/polyester lining at the armpits, and a strip at the neck, which I am afraid might pill/wear down quickly. I'm not sure why they didn't use the same ripstop(?) lining for those areas. But overall very happy with the purchase.

Maybe I got a lemon?
I loved this jacket, I truly did. So far in this short season, it has kept me warm and stylish; However...and I think this might just be my jacket-maybe I got a lemon. The velcro strips on pockets and bottom of jacket have completely peeled away due to the normal act of opening and closing them a few times. Keep in mind that I have worn this jacket maybe 4 times at most.I've made it a point to be extra gentle because the velcro seemed shoddily stitched from the beginning. As for warmth and looks, it really is a pretty jacket that kept me warm on a 17 degree day in Chicago with just a shirt underneath. If you don't get a lemon like me, this could be a very nice jacket!

great deal with the black Friday discount!
So happy with this purchase. I was really on the fence about getting a woolrich parka or a pendleton or a Canadian goose. It all boiled down to price & quality & style. plus I was worried about the fit. I'm 5'2 & 160lbs & curvy & I still have a little belly after having a baby a few months ago. Winter is coming & I need a jacket good enough for western New York & NYC. I decided to get a large because I like jackets with alittle more room. The large is perfect plus there's an waist adjustable cord inside the jacket! The real fur is soft & nice but sheds alittle :(

This is a really great coat. It's a little loose (I'd describe it ...
This is a really great coat. It's a little loose (I'd describe it as a regular/relax fit) but in the best way possible. The problem I've had with the Moose Knuckles/Canada Goose Trillium is that they are all slim fit which can be a more restricting than I'm used to with the coat zipped up. However, the Woolrich coat is super warm, loose without being baggy, and has a zipper that you don't have to struggle with. Highly regarded and recommended!

Get it while you can.
Awesome parka, great materials and excellent price. Very comparable to canada goose, though the coyote fur is a little less decadent. Get these while they're available because this particular parka is no longer produced!
