Q: Is there a way to switch this torch on and off without cycling through every mode?

No. There is a number of these kinds of torches which can be switched directly off by using a gentler than normal pressure on the button. Sadly this is not one of them

Q: How bright is this actually? 90000 lumens is a joke, maybe 3000.

3,000lm is probably right. Amazon has allowed sellers to put ridiculous brightness measurements in the description of their torches. This confuses buyers, tricking them into thinking they are purchasing a very bright torch. They may be bright to an extent, but I bought one of these 1 or 2 years ago and it said it was 10,000lm in which, it wasn’t. Also, many sellers sell the same torch but put their logo on it and say it has a different brightness output. To buy a torch that bright, you would be looking at well known, expensive brands like Imalent or Olight that give proper brightness descriptions, using their own pictures ( not copying others) that are, for a bright torch, costing over £100. So, in conclusion, BRANDS LIKE WHOLEFIRE ARE JUST USING CLICKBAIT!

Q: Is this really 90k lumens or very exaggerated as 1 batt and 1 led? the brightest torch in world costs 10x this, 100k lumens, has 8 batts and 18 leds.

All I can say is that this is very bright and a great torch, just bare in mind though that on the brightest setting the battery does not last as long

All I can say is it is big, failey heavy well built and very bright on its brightest setting, there are a number of settings at the touch of the button
