It has a hum-so not silent. But works SO WELL. Literally way better than a few other more expensive dehydrator. Perfect jerky in 4-5 hours, and the best fruit leather I have had in 4-5 hours. Its super easy to clean-put the racks in the dishwasher and then can easily wipe down the side of the actually machine. Few tips- can cut a hole on a paper towel and place it at the bottom, doesn't affect the food drying time and helps with easily getting any crumbs or bits-but its really so light you could just tip it over the trashcan. Anyways love it and use it weekly.

Purchased the first one in 2014 and added another in 2016 after the first grandbaby. Bought 2 more in 2020 and use them every weekend. Got them set up on a cart just for dehydration. I’m always finding new things to preserve with dehydration but also keeping my healthy snacks stocked up. Cucumber and zucchini chips are my favorites. Thinly sliced strawberries and bananas make a great sweet snack when sweet cravings hit.Dehydrated skins from most vegetables have a secondary use in the garden. After dehydration grinding into powder form makes it easier to use.

I bought this item from this vendor because I specifically wanted this (discontinued) product. Instead, the new model arrived. The new model works okay, but it's not entirely compatible with the previous product.

The tray are very flimsy and do not fit together like they should. I am returning it, very disappointed.

I’ve had it for a year now and still don’t know how to use it. Takes a very long time to make it work.
