Riedel Vinum Martini Glass, Set of 2

These are ideal for whiskey. Beautiful and functional. About the same size/shape as a Glencairn glass, but better quality and I prefer the stem. (Riedel also makes an Akvavit glass, which is even closer to the Glencairn in shape, but it's hard come by). Unfortunately, they don't make anything like this glass in the hand-made Sommelier line. These are a bit heavier than the hand-built glasses, so are more durable, which might be a good thing if you're not super careful with your glasses. Also, these are LEAD FREE. I mention that because a lot of people seem to ask the question. The entire Riedel line from 2016 on is lead free, but there is still some older stock out there. The sticker on the glass says "crystal glass" which is their way of saying "no lead." Finally, these go through the dishwasher just fine, though you want to be careful that they don't bang up against anything, and you don't want to use too much soap. The dishwasher soap will probably etch the glass eventually if you wash them a lot. Riedel actually recommends a dishwasher over hand washing because it's actually much easier to break the glass when hand washing than in a dishwasher. I can attest to that from experience. I've never had one break in the dishwasher, but I've broken a couple of them when hand washing.

手持ちの部分まで空洞になっていてそこまで液体が入り込んでしまいます。 さして見た目が良くなるわけでもないし、温まってしまうし、掃除が面倒といいことないです。 形状や大きさがとてもよかったために残念でした。

他社のグラスを使っている方でしたらまず軽くてびっくりすると思いますが、軽さよりも、その薄さ故の飲み口がとても良いのです。 リーデルはワインに合わせたグラスを作っているため、どれを購入するべきか悩むと思いますが、ワインに合わせた形状云々の前にその薄さからくる飲み口の良さが格別なので、よく飲む品種に合わせてヴィノムシリーズの中から1つ買ってみることをオススメします。 私は赤ワイン派で、ボルドー・シラーをヴィノムで揃えたのですが、ピノ・ノワールは飲む機会が非常に少ないことから他社の安いものを購入してしまい、いざ使った時に飲み口の違いに落胆し、リーデルで購入し直すべきか非常に悩んでいます。
