Using the Total Protection Antivirus for last 3-4 years renewing it each year. Once the antivirus was installed my me the risk of a malaware or suspected links etc were almost zero. Yes the system warns not to open a suspected link/s and seeks your full satisfation of such link having been forwarded by trusted sources. Ultimately the individual need to decide whether to take the risk of opening a link or not. So your own presence of mind is needed for full protection. If bot confident stop opening a suspected link. Regular update for system are received. Overall a good protection at affordable price.

McAfee Total Protection 2024 offers solid security with real-time threat protection. Easy to install and use, but can slow down system performance at times.

Product could not be installed. Code sent through email for activation was showing already used. No mechamism to check with the seller, total loss of money.

Ease of use/ administration: I purchased this software in July 2021 for my family and found that two licenses of McAfee Total Protection (each for 5 devices) has been sent to my email address. The McAfee Customer Support expressed their inability to combine the two licenses into one, which made my task of administering this software tedious on family devices (PCs, tablets, mobile phones) especially during re-installation. I had to literally remember which license (out of the two identical licenses) was used by me and which one by my family, specially when the family member(s) uses the same manufacturer/ model.Bundled Products: McAfee Antivirus, McAfee Internet Security (Firewall) are the industry led products which defintely great! Apart from this the other products viz. McAfee Secure VPN, True Key by McAfee (Password Manager), Web Boost, Tracker Remover, Browser Security etc. are being worked upon by the product team. Out of all these bundled products, I did have issues with 'True Key by McAfee', which didn't prompt me for saved passwords on many websites. This product, which works as a browser extension, logs the user out multiple times in a day from mobile device(s) thus impacting the productivity where one has to repeatedly log-in to the interface to fetch the password. I established multiple sessions with McAfee Consumer Technical Support team, to check if any of my user options are causing this behavior. A ticket was also created for this issue, but this was resolved with a stanard resolution after 3 months....Apart from that I also contacted the support team to change my phone number on the profile, but they haven't done that even after 3 weeks, so the McAfee Support really sucks...Price: The price of this product has increased by 5% from 2021, which is not advisable considering the ease of use and the post-sales support. Still this price is comparatively good price in comparison to other products in the market.
