Lovely for first birthday
Bought as a gift my 1 year old niece. Was an instant hit. Great for developing fine motor skills putting the pegs in and out. She enjoys the hammer too and her accuracy will develop! Lovely quality as always from this brand. Good size for a gift and for in home.

Great Fun and Good Quality
My little one has had this for almost 6 months now, and he still comes back to play with it every day. The design is really simple, but the bright colours make it fun and interactive. The overall quality is very good, sturdy and well made. Considering that he’s hammered it every day for 6 months, the colours and paintwork hasn’t chipped or tarnished at all, which is great. Brilliant little gift, sure to delight any little ones!

Lovely basic toy for 9 month old
Excellent for our young 9 month old just one problem was that the sticks of wood soon went through the hole and they were not held in place so we had to redo the sticks of wood in sellotape.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!
I bought this for my grandsons first birthday and he absolutely loves it! The care given to its design and manufacture are amazing and the packaging is so lovely, it even came with a lovely card with the name of the person on it that packed it. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product and shall buy more products made by this company in the future.

Excellent toy
Bought as a gift for my son and he loves it! This toy is exceptionally built and I have total confidence that it will last for many years to come. Excellent toy and I will be purchasing from Jaques of London again. Plus, the card within the gift that tells you who hand wrapped your present is a lovely and unique touch.

Do not buy - choking hazard - very dangerous!
We bought 2 of these for children’s birthdays and both have fallen apart. The end part on both has come away leaving the wooden poles exposed. These would be a choking hazard for children. The holes for the dowel pins are way too big so it seems this problem will always happen regardless. As well as both having the sides fall off, on one of them the hammer has come away. It’s a good product that reminds us of our childhood but it’s evidently not made as well as in the 80s. Shame on Jaques for creating a product that is dangerous to children and inferior to its predecessors.

Lovely item but toy was damaged.
It’s a great little toy but unfortunately was damaged. The box was absolutely fine, but part of the wooden leg was splintered off. Have to return.
