For anyone who has loved Cuisinart food processors forever, this is the best current model.
I have had Cuisinart food processors since they first came out and loved them for years, only replacing them when I wanted a larger bowl or different features, always giving the old one away to someone I knew because they were always still working fine. The last time I did that I regretted giving my old one away because the newer models have been so unsatisfactory I found myself avoiding using them. I never understand why "engineers" mess with good design only to replace it with bad design -- cost reduction, I guess. I researched other brands of processors exhaustively for literally years, and was never inspired by what I learned about them, so kept soldiering on with the Cuisinart I had come to despise. Finally, last year I saw this Cuisinart model a decided to give it a try. I have had it for a year now and can honestly say I am in love with my Cuisinart food processor again and highly recommend this model. Every time I use it I am impressed by the intricacy of the planning and modelling that went into the design to make it work so well. I did experience a learning curve, because there are some significant differences between this model and all the other Cuisinart models I have had and seen, but it works extremely well for all my tasks and, because of these design changes, it holds more liquid without leaking all over the place like other recent models.

Much better than my 10 year old one
I was very surprised at how light this product is. I purchased it to replace my Cuisinart that was 10 years old. I have used it several times to shredded potatoes, mix cake, and chop nuts. All these tasks were done easily and clean up was very easy as well. I really like the easy way the attachments fit compared to my old one they are a dream to use. I am excited about the liquid tight fit of the lid. Being dishwasher safe is a real plus. Update two years on. I am still very pleased with this product. I have developed severe arthritis in both my hand. This item weights next to nothing I find it very easy to use. The attachments work great. I just finished grating 4 lbs go hard cheese in less than 10 min . I still recommend this product very highly and still give a five star rating.

Great kitchen helper!
A great food processor for its size! It definitely has its limits but has been a huge help in the kitchen for the price. I ran mine a little too hard and the top bearing surface where the cutter spins melted and deformed. Wish that could have been done differently, but avoidable by pacing the machine.

Works great
Not as heavy duty as our old one, but seems to work well.

Meh
This food processor does an okay job, but there are several things I don't like about it. 1. It comes with a blade for grating that has two sides, supposedly for two different sizes of shred. As you can see in the photo, there is barely a noticeable difference between the two sides. When I grate Parmesan, I want a very fine grate, which I can't achieve with this machine. 2. It seems to be made for a left-handed person. I've had a few food processors over the last 30 or more years and they seem to have been designed for right-handed people. As a righty, I want to open the lid with my left hand, which would mean turning the front of the lid to the left side, so I could use my right hand to scrape the sides down with a spatula. This lid on this machine turns to the right; I either have to use my right hand to do this and then pick up the spatula or cross my left arm in front of me to awkwardly open it to the right. I suppose left-handers love this! 3. There is a lip on the inside of the lid that measures almost an inch deep. Food gets stuck in that lip, so it doesn't fully shred/grate and it requires extra effort to get it out. 4. The pusher doesn't push down far enough to more fully grate food. There is always a sizeable piece that just can't get grated and I end up doing it by hand. What's the point of using a machine if I have to dirty a hand grater anyway? 5. It makes a whining sound. I wouldn't mind this so much if 1-4 weren't issues. But I could use without this irritating sound, which sounds like the motor is working harder than it should.

Exactly what I wanted and needed!
When we renovated our kitchen, I decided that most of my appliances needed to be replaced as they were 40 years old and not dong the job anymore. I ordered a top of the line Kitchen Aid processor with a large bowl and an additional smaller bowl and 3 different blades. It was a huge mistake. The smaller bowl needed to be inserted into the larger bowl, thereby creating more dirty dishes to wash, the control buttons were not at a convenient angle and I needed two hands to operate as I needed to hold the processor base with one hand and push the button with the other hand. It also took up a lot of space to store. I realized my immersion blender had a small food processor bowl that I hadn't yet used and once I tried it, realized it was perfect for smaller jobs and so I ordered this Cuisinart Food Processor...it is perfect! The bowl should be big enough for any of the larger jobs I need to do and it is easy to clean. It was also 1/3 the price of the Kitchen Aid...expensive mistake to make :-( I would highly recommend this processor!

works great and powerful
I had a different brand. it did not last long . so i tried this one and went one cup larger. it makes double batches of almost anything i need. i have used it for pesto and muffins mixes so far that contain zucchini and it mixed extremely well. i have not used all the blades yet. just the basic one.

Versatile with lots of extras.
I had my previous Cuisinart for many years when the bowl unexpectedly cracked. I continued to use it though until the bowl finally fell apart. I was very used to my old Cuisinart and not thrilled about buying a new one. I didn’t think I would find one I liked as much as my old one. I was very mistaken. This new model has an amazing amount of power. Much more powerful than my last one. Easy to use with a high power button, a low power button and a pulse button. And to my delight, the grater is reversible and the slicer is adjustable. A very good machine and I expect it to last many years.

Actual processor is great. Easy to use/clean. Fully recommend. However, the product I got appears to be an open box, resealed box, scratches, marks over the cup, looks generally used. I messaged amazon but they never replied. I finally kept the item as I’d waited so long and I didn’t want to send it back, as I’m trying to be less wasteful, and well, it works, so.... Just wish I’d known it was an open box. Standards are slipping.

I hesitated to buy this model because I wasn’t sure if it would be too large and worth the extra cost. I’m glad I bought it! The larger motor has been well worth it. It has performed really well for me so far.

Great food processor. But a part broke, and getting in touch with Cuisinart was so difficult that i gave up and returned it and bought a new different brand. On hold with them for 3 times for a total of about 2 hours. Web site didn't have the info i needed. I had to message 3 times to get a response. Buyer beware
