has anyone put it in dishwasher regularly?

My teenagers clean the kitchen for me and this pan has been put in the dishwasher probably 3-4 times a week for the last 4 years. Last month, the surface on the bottom suddenly started sloughing off in a weird dramatic way and I had to throw the pan out. So yes... you can put it in the dishwasher, but I'm pretty sure it would have lasted another 4 years if I hadn't! For my family.. it's worth the trade off and I'm back to buy another pan. And realistically, we'll probably stick it in the dishwasher again.

For those that have had this set for MORE THAN ONE YEAR: Are they still working well? Still as non stick as day one?

Mine are about 6-7 years old and going strong. I had one that was my mother’s and she put it in the dishwasher regularly and I don’t know what else she did to it. I bought two new ones and because they are so easy to clean, I just wipe them out and give them a quick hand wash. My three rules for keeping the surface working well: 1) Don’t put in the dishwasher. Yes, it says you can, but don’t. 2) Use actual fats or oils and not a spray-on with propellants like Pam. I’m even careful with the ones without propellant and seldom use those, either. If you want to spray, buy your own mister and fill it with real oils. 3) Use a nylon scrubbie on your pan every couple of uses of your pan or after something that leaves a coating like sauces. Use something like a Dobie pad or a Swipes pad - gentle and no rough stuff. Don’t scrub hard, just run the pad across the entire surface a couple of times. This prevents a buildup of food and oil that you can’t see. That’s it! These 3 steps helps any nonstick finish last its longest and with a Scan Pan, that’s a long time.

How durable are the scan pans?

I haven't found them to be any more durable than other non-stick pans. Although they advertise that you can use metal utensils, I found that they scratched easily, and then lost their non-stick surface. I think we were conned into thinking that they are better quality because they are Danish, but I definitely haven't found that to be the case!
