Chipped paint on arrival, keyboard too hot and screen has bad backlight bleed
Small chip of paint on bottom of £2199.99 laptop. Makes me think this has been a factory return/refurb. If not then poor quality control from dell. Was going to keep it since it was on the bottom and I love gaming but the WASD keys became to hot to touch after 20 minutes no matter which fan profile I used. The screen also had a lot of backlight bleeding in the corners which was noticeable in darker scenes while gaming. Factory reset and returned for a refund. I will buy an Msi GE66 raider as I had that before and it was perfect

Just don't buy gaming laptops
I owned my M15 R3 for a year and a bit while not a verified purchase because my laptop came from Currys PC world I need to stress the issues with these devices in general. The issue with pre-builts in general is that they are always over priced. But the biggest issue that is only present with pre-built laptops is that they are impossible to fix once that 2 year warranty is up. Like they are designed to break. The thermal paste in the CPU handily dries up the minute the warranty has expired you need to open it up either yourself or give it to a repair shop because otherwise you just throttle at 100 degrees Celsius constantly and it's unusable. The issue is they are so fragile. Screws are purposely made of softer metals meaning they get rounded very easily as soon as any pressure is applied. You have to break the laptop to fix it. The connectors are made to be fragile so the tiniest bit of force shatters them. The CPU is hidden away under so many components that you have to dismantle the whole PC to get to it. Why because they don't want you to touch it. Even pros can't fix it because they're that volatile. Save yourself money and time buy a desktop and choose the components yourself. Don't waste your time on crappy scams like any gaming laptops they are purely a con.

Relatively expensive but great laptop
I bought this for my son when we were going on holiday and he really enjoyed using it to play games on and keep in touch with his friends. He normally uses a desk top gaming pc but uses this one just as much at home now.
