Therapy device turned into child's toy
I originally acquired these as a sort of acupressure massager. I didn't want to use them on my feet (though that's what they're meant for, and what they're good at). Instead, I planned to use them to massage my hands and forearms. They were pretty good at that, until my toddler decided they served a better use as toys. Now I'm not allowed to have them for myself. The red ball is quite unyielding. The green is somewhat squishy, but has a fair firmness. The red is definitely smaller than the green, though both are a good enough size to fill your palm. Simple, straightforward, spiky balls. The spiked aren't sharp, and can be pressed firmly into the skin while leaving nothing but marks from pressure. I've found these to be pretty good for massaging palms and forearms. They're no good on the back of the hand, unless you like getting your bones poked.

Spiky massagers.
These spike balls work wonders. I tried it the first time today and it helped remove all the knots in my back (upper and lower) and all other areas of my aching muscles. I also tried gently rolling the balls behind the occipital region of my head, behind my neck and shoulders, my back waistline, each side of my hips, mid buttocks.....and I tell you, it felt so wonderful while in the process of doing so. The spiky balls knead like a pro similar to a masseuse kneading my aching muscles. I felt so relieved and pain was gone, just like that. It just need a little help from you by rolling your specific problems areas on the floor or wall against the spike balls. It took me 15 minutes to complete my session, and my tight muscles just loosened up as if I just got done with my session at the massage parlor. So save yourself some money. Massage parlors cost approximately $50 per session. These balls only cost $6.00+ and doing your sessions right in your own home or at work during your break is not only convenient, but also cost effective and cost efficient. You can also do your sessions as often as you wanted to (PRN) when needed. I guarantee you, you will be very happy with these spiky balls!!!!

Needed
I was using a slightly hard/ soft baseball it just wasn't hitting the nerves under the bottom if my feet as well as I wanted but just got my order for spicky balls one small hard and one large a little softer they both feel so good first thing when I wake I sit up turn and my spiky balls are next to my bed, before I get up, I roll the ball across bottoms of my feet, It simulates the nerves that are alway numb or sore I do about 5 mns. On each foot the ball I use depends on my pain situation at the time and before bed or middle of day same thing I'm gad I choose the 2 pk wirh 2 different levels of firm and soft they also help my spine before I stand up you don't even have to know exact pressure points just start out gently and roll on every area of your feet you will find places that need relief just from a gentle roll if you need to press a little harder do so carefully I love how they make my feet & body feel, read about flexolgy before use

Total Lifesaver!!
I bought these because I was having really bad pain/tightness all the way from the arches of my feet to my hamstring. Many days it was painful enough that it made me nauseous. I was also having pain on the balls of my feet due to wearing a lot of flats that had little to no support. The green therapy ball is larger and softer than the red one. The red one is very firm, so they both serve different purposes. I keep one at home and one in my desk drawer. If I wear flats to work, I will often stop and roll my feet around on the reflexology ball. It feels amazing and definitely relieves some of the pressure and pain from my feet. I've heard that you can use these on your back and other areas, but I have only used them on my feet thus far.

Good for feet
These are pretty good for my feet. I've got flat feet it is a drag. The green one is too soft for my feet to actually massage it, I guess yo ucan roll around on it if you enjoy the texture. The red one is decent. I can't actually use either balls to massage any knots the red one is too hard and the spiky bits stab me but the green one is too soft. But for massaging the feets it is good

Not for beginners
I use these massage balls for myofascial release in my back and shoulders. They work well. If you are new to myofascial release, I offer some tips I've learned from experience: 1) These balls are too aggressive for beginners. Start with a smooth ball like: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G7CINSA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This type of massage ball will be the most versatile even after you know how to do myofascial release. 2) When using smooth balls or spiked balls, resist the urge to roll the ball around - it's a waste of time, even if it feels good. Instead, find a pain point, press onto the ball there, and hold it there until you feel the pain fade away. At that point, you can make small movements to find a nearby pain point and repeat. It is also effective to hold pressure at one point while moving the impacted muscle across the ball. For example, if you have the ball between a shoulder blade and spine, you can move the shoulder blade up and down, forward and backward while keeping the ball in the same spot. 3) Myofascial release does not feel good while you are doing it, if you are doing it correctly. 4) You will know when you are ready for the spiked balls. Beware, they are aggressive and painful, but they are effective. You will feel the release if you can tolerate the pain and have patience.

I never bother to leave a review but this little red spiky ball deserves one. It goes so deep into the foot tissue! I love it. I m not using the green ball but i wanted to buy another pack and this brand was out of stock. I bought another similar red ball from a different supplier but I can see this therapist choice brand is lot more needle like feeling. The spikes are lot more narrow and poke harder just the way I like it. I will use this every day to release my plantar fascia. I also have an expensive massage gun I use but this red ball is good because you can sit on it for few minutes in one particular spot. It also goes lot deaper into the tissue. Only recommend if you like really hard massages like I do, not for softies

My husband regularly uses the green ball ('soft ball') on his foot to help reduce discomfort from plantar fasciitis. The red ball is the harder ball, and in my opinion, much too hard to be beneficial as a massage ball (too painful). I would suggest to the manufacturer: change the red ball to be slightly softer than the green ball, and therefore have 2 helpful/usable different sized massage balls.

I like one softer than the other so I can use either depending on the issue. The small red ball is not for wimps. Both sizes and level of hardness have their place. Good value.
