Works really well
If you are waking up with headaches you may be grinding your teeth at night. I had been getting headaches for more than 2 years and usually they lasted the whole day, no matter what I did or took I couldn't get rid of them. One day I noticed that I was having inner ear issues (the feeling of having water in my ear even though there wasn't). After I did a google search on that, I realized that TEETH GRINDING could be the cause (and headaches are the #1 symptom of this). I immediately went out and bought a mouth guard from CVS (Sleep Right brand) and it got rid of my headaches...FINALLY. There seem to be two types of mouth guards...ones that are more of a hard plastic and ones that are a soft silicon rubber. This Oral-B is the latter type and I very much prefer it. The Sleep Right guard I bought was more of a hard plastic. Both types have to be heated in boiling water to soften and then molded to your teeth. But this Oral B guard remains a soft rubber that you can bite down and it really does a good job of not only protecting your teeth from grinding, but it really prevents grinding because when you bite down on it you can't really move your teeth side to side. The plastic ones don't do as good of a job and can also get damaged easily, which mine did after only a few nights of wear. I am really happy with this Oral B guard and I'm going to buy a couple of them. Just be careful when molding not to bit down too hard or your teeth with go all the way through it. Follow the instructions carefully!

please save your money and dont purchase this
first of all it's non refundable which really sucks because its complete garbage. I read the reviews about it being small and i thought that sounded perfect because other night guards have been way too big for me. well it was just the right size for me but that also means it's probably the wrong size for you. that was actually the only good part about it and it snowballed downhill from there at a rapid pace...i followed the instruction exactly step by step and my first go went very badly. first bad sign was the tray that its in cracked in the microwave even though i put it in for the exact right amount of time. next the stupid thing got stuck in that tray and not even where it had cracked in the front it was the ends and the sides that were completely cemented down. it says to "remove gently" but this proved to be an impossible task. i had to pry it off the tray very carefully with a butter knife but i did get it off and i thought it looked good. no cracks or tears so i thought i beat the odds and achieved success. wrong. even though i lined everything up when i bit down for some reason it only fit half my teeth. its like the night guard itself somehow expanded and was too wide. i remembered seeing in the instructions it said to put it back in the tray and microwave it for slightly less time so i didnt panic and i did just that. this time it did not get stuck in the tray and i thought for sure i had it this time. but when i put it in again now it was way too loose it just falls right out unless i am biting down and in the process of trying to just hold it in my mouth i already have indents from my bottom teeth. seeing as my mouth is quite small and as such not the most powerful mouth in the world if this didn't work for me i truly can't see it working for any human adult. and tragically i am unable to get a refund so that was just a total waste of money. please save yourselves and learn from my mistakes 🥲

Follow. The. directions!
You must follow the directions, exactly. I’ve used this brand guard for more than 15 years. As long as you follow the directions, and if it doesn’t fit, the first time, it can be re-molded to fit better. Mine typically last several years, despite being a major grinder of teeth. There’s been a couple times they have not molded exactly right, but a quick minute in the microwave in the form and re-molding it works great. When people claim it’s too thin or flimsy, they they’ve fit down too hard into the mold. When people claim it falls out, they’ve not centered the mold into their teeth, it needs to wrap around the front and the back of the teeth to stay put. Instead of complaining, they should just re-mold it per the instructions or call the number Oral-B provide provides for more support. This mold has saved me hundreds of dollars having one made at the dentist.

Easy to Customize+Still Going Strong 7mths Later!
⚠️The following is NOT medical advice, it is ONLY my personal experience and opinion. Please consult a licensed medical professional prior to using any over the counter medical or dental device!⚠️ I bought this Night Guard on 06/2021, and it is still going strong even w/my biting it, chewing, and grinding on it pretty regularly. I bought this Night Guard (NG), because I was tired of waking up with teeth intentions in my tongue, and tongue pain from what felt like my almost biting my tongue through while I slept! Ugh! I had previously spoken with a Dentist who recommended I use a Night Guard (NG), and then proceeded to charge me an arm and a leg to ‘custom’ fit one for me. Only to have that NG not last very long, only a few months, before my consistent use broke through the silicon and it become unusable. I have since learned from use of other NG’s, that the silicon was just too thin to hold up to my biting, grinding while asleep. Note: IF You are new to using NG’s then it may take you a while to get used to sleeping with a foreign object in Your mouth. Yes, it may not stay in your mouth the entire night, but that does NOT mean it isn’t helping You (see my comments below about my own experiences with the NG not remaining in place through out the night/my sleep.) At least give the NG (whichever one You chose), a good month of consistent use, before You decide to throw Your hands up and that it isn’t working for you, or it is something too uncomfortable for You to use when You sleep. By uncomfortable, I mean having an object in your mouth, I do NOT mean discomfort when the NG is in Your mouth, if You experience discomfort from where the NG touches Your teeth or gums, then the NG needs to be recustomized! You need to go back through the reheat customization process, and recustomize the NG’s “Fit”. However, if You feel generally uncomfortable, because You have a foreign object in Your mouth, then I recommend that You just continue to stick to it, and keep using the NG, as You will likely get used to the NG over time (the length of time differs per person, from my conversations with others who also have used NG’s.). However, IF You have a deviated septum, snore loudly, and/or snore or wake often during sleep due to interruptions in Your breathing pattern, have sleep apnea, or any other difficulty breathing while sleeping at night, then do NOT use a NG without FIRST consulting Your Physician!! As NG’s are NOT recommended for people with breathing issues during sleep!! since the NG may exacerbate/worsen your breathing issues or potentially cause You to unintentionally choke!! So, speak to Your Licensed Medical Practitioner before using a NG to ensure that You can safely use one with Your medical condition! 🔹HOW TO CUSTOMIZE, CLEAN & STORE: This night guard is EASY to CUSTOMIZE, You simply boil about a cup, a cup and a half of water, (just enough water to cover the night guard when it is submerged in whatever container you plan to put it in while ‘warming’ it), wait for the water to cook from boiling hot to warm (just hotter than comfortable to stick your finger in it, maybe 5min?, If the water ends up too cool, just take the night guard out, place it on a paper towel and reheat the water and try again), when the NG is sufficiently warm, it will become pliable (you can easily bend it, etc.), wait until it is cool enough You can put it in your mouth without burning yourself, then place the NG into Your mouth and bite down on it, to impress Your teeth impression into the silicon of the NG. Do NOT bite down so hard that You bite through the NG (or bite the NG super thin) as that would defeat the purpose. You are aiming for a customized “FIT”, and NOT to bite through it! Plus, if any part of the NG is uncomfortable when customizing or later after using, You can simply reheat it and redo the customization process. If You still have issues, then You can reheat the NG, and using a few handy kitchen or toolbox tools, You should be able to press, push, and/or possibly cut (though I do not recommend cutting it, that’s just a last resort, as cutting it would likely void any warranty and replacement by the manufacturer), and You should be able to smoosh/squash any uncomfortable piece down/into submission and a more comfortable placement. Once Customized be sure to store Your NG in the Blue Container that comes with it, after use. You can clean it regularly by soaking it in Efferdent or another over the counter denture cleaner. Be sure completely dry before storing. MATERIAL: I have used other NG’s and this one is comparable. Like many others, this NG is made of clear silicon that becomes pliable in warm to hot water. The hotter the water, the more pliable, (so make sure the water isn’t so hot that it totally loses it’s shape!, as that would ruin it!) COST+VALUE: The cost of this NG is definitely a point of value considering how much dental offices charge for customized NG’s, which is typically an outrageous amount! Also, when compared to other NG’s sold online, I found this NG to be reasonably priced at the time it was purchased. QUALITY/DURABILITY: I can’t speak of others, but I do not use my NG every night. I tend to only use it when I wake up and find that I have again bitten down on my tongue hard enough to leave deep teeth impressions. Then I start using the NG for a few nights, and inevitably I stop using it again, not intentionally, I just forget, and the cycle repeats. However, having said that, the NG has held up very well considering I purchased it 7 months ago. AND, not only do I tend to bite down HARD or Grind my teeth HARD at night, but I also tend to bite chew/grind my NG when it is in my mouth even BEFORE, I fall asleep. A bad habit, but it is kind of a habit. My point being that even after seven (7 months), this NG is still going strong. I haven’t needed to reheat it and reshape it, nor has the NG’s silicon broken through even after all my biting, chewing, grinding consistent abuse. RECOMMENDATION & RESULTS: I would definitely recommend this NG for anyone who is in need of a NG to stop biting, or grinding their teeth while sleeping or who has been advised to use a NG as padding between their teeth at night while sleeping to ease Templar Mandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ) pain the next morning. While my own NG does NOT tend to stay in place through out the entire night, the NG does somehow keep me from leaving deep and painful teeth impressions in my tongue, so apparently it remains in place long enough for my subconscious to get the message while I sleep and for me NOT to bite my tongue so hard or grind my teeth all night. For the price (whatever it may be), and the results, in my opinion, this NG is definitely “worth it” to try it for yourself. Good Luck & I hope You find this NG as helpful for Your own condition as I found it for mine.

Meh
Way too small. It didnt even reach my 2nd molar. Most night guards dont reach my wisdom teeth, but this one didnt even reach the second. It also didnt go over my front teeth. It wasn't thick enough in the front and kept pushing to the back of my front teeth. The thickness was ideal for the rest of it though. It wasn't too thick like most others but im still disappointed I cant use it.

Perfect!
Let me begin by telling you I am a heavy grinder at night! I have bad tmj tension in my jaw that I actually take a muscle relaxer at bedtime if it's really bad. For years I have paid a ton of money for my dentist to make custom hard material nightguards. It would take me about 6 months to grind holes in them. After I threw my last one out I figured I would look into an alternative that was less expensive. I tried a couple of other brands that would never mold tight enough to keep it in my mouth without falling off. In the trash they went! I continued my search and stumbled across this one and read the reviews saying it was too small for some people so I figured I would try it because I have a small mouth. It was easy to mold to my teeth and fit perfect! I am waking up with a relaxed jaw and less neck tension. I actually bought another one to have as a backup. This nightguard is awesome!

Horrible. Super thin and tiny. Floppy. Doesn't stay
This is literally the worst mouthguard I've had in my 50 years wearing them. It feels like it's child size when you're trying to fit it, but it wouldn't fit a child either (too spread) so I don't know what they were going for. It's super thin and narrow. Impossible to fit my (145lb sized female) back teeth in. I tried anyways. I followed the instructions but I added 5 Seconds just for good measure (so 120). It wasn't the least bit softened. There was no biting into it. And I have a high-powered microwave! Put it back in for another 30 seconds, and then bit as hard as I could, literally. I got it down deep enough, but it's just flimsy. No way this would stay on teeth at night. It doesn't wrap around them. There's just not enough stuff in the tiny mold. Plus of course the teeth didn't fit so one side isn't even lined up quite right. But heating it again is not going to fix. I pulled it out at max time, and it's floppy almost like jello. It looks like one of my old mouth guards after the dog completely chewed it up. It also only covers the front half of your teeth. Another reason it doesn't stay in. And it's going to make your jaw misaligned in the morning if you're a heavy chewer. The scope flavor is just weird. What a waste. I'm mad. I wanted something thinner so I could breathe through my top teeth but I can't seem to find the brand that offers this!

Quality product but too small for larger mouths
Soft material, easy to fit, too small for larger mouths. I must have a larger than average mouth because this was just too short and narrow for me. Even though the material is flexible, the fitting tray is not, so the resulting mouth guard came out with a big wad of the material on the inside of my teeth at the rear and was was always rubbing against my tongue and gets annoying. If they made a large size I’d buy again but not otherwise.
