Hagen Tropican Hand Feeding Parrot Food, 4.4 lb. - Hari Baby Bird Food for Optimal Growth

I find this stuff easy to mix, and it seems to go further then other formula I have bought. But most importantly, it's helping raise strong healthy birds. I'm pleased with it. I got an amazing deal, and this item deserves more then 5 stars. It has an ok smell, and my birds seem to enjoy it, and digest this formula very well. I wanted to give an update on this, since I used if for my newest clutch of baby green cheek conures and quaker. I truly believe this bird formula helps with having chubbier babies. My clutch before this was pretty thin and they were on Kaytee Exact, and this time around using Tropican, I feel the extra weight on them. My Quakers usually turn out to be 70 or 80 grams at 4 weeks... well this last baby quaker (only 1 born in clutch) just turned 4 weeks and he is weighing in at 126 grams. That's a huge difference, and really makes me believe this formula is better for my birds.

I’ve purchased a total of 5 times in the last couple years. I have successfully raised over 100 Sun Conures, Green Cheeks and Parrotlets. I mix with non flavor Pedialyte instead of water. By mixing with Pedialyte it adds electrolytes and boosts their immune system, in my opinion. Great price

This is a good size bag for the cost. I am feeding baby Quaker parrots with this formula which mixes up nicely. Just add warm water and you have an instant food the baby birds love. They are screaming right before the next feeding for more. Makes very strong, alert, and healthy babies. I will be getting more of this brand soon.

Great product and company. We didn’t need the bag after we received it so I wanted to return it. The company actually sent me a refund and did not want me to send the bag back. So I may donate it.

Love this formula. Chicks wean quicker and keep a healthy weight. However, it is hard to rely on when the price fluctuates so drastically and it goes OOS often. I had to switch to another brand (Kaytee) while this went OOS again. My chicks could not keep weight on and we lost one. I just wish I could rely on this brand to be consistently available and affordable year round. I would give 5 stars if I could rely on this year around.

Best handfeeding formula out there.

This is my 3rd or 4th purchase. This is my go-to parrot food for handfeeding my baby ringnecks. Blends beautifully and they love it.
