Made my life so much easier
We have multiple TV displays throughout our office. The Neumi 4K has made our lives so much easier for displaying graphics. The units work predictably and very easy to set up and use. Very intuitive. We use Canva to make the video graphics and then transfer to a USB drive and it works great. Thanks

This thing rocks!
I just upgraded to a new 4K projector and receiver and bought some 4K Blu Rays of my favorite films. IN the meantime, I ordered this NEUMI ATOM player, just to see what it could do. I loaded a 66.7 GB file of one of those movies onto a 3TB external hard drive, hooked up the hard drive and the Neumi to my receiver, and ... oh, my! The picture and sound were absolutely beautiful. My go-to method of watching video is to stream it to my Roku with Plex Media Server. This Neumi player, however, works so much better, especially with those huge files. No buffering, no hiccups, no freezes ... just solid 4K content! It loads quickly (almost immediately), plays every file format I have, and asks if you want to pick up where you left off if you stop the movie before it ends. This is all I want for Christmas this year! I can't think of anything else I would rather have.

Great little box for playing media.
This was my first purchase of this kind of device. So my first issue was trying to put batteries into the remote when I first took it out of the box. Thinking the panel should open up further ended with me snapping the panel off. I could still put it back on, but I'd have to try not to slide the battery panel off with my hand when I'm holding it. So I opted to just not putting the panel back on. Definitely my fault, but could have been designed better. The interface is pretty simple and to the point in what kind of media you'd want to be playing. Listed my video files with a basic file list. Even with it full of video files, it handled playing media off a Sandisk 512GB USB stick pretty quick. (https://a.co/d/67lhvGy) I'd watch stuff during my lunch break and stop the video when my break ended. While it wasn't too big of an issue, my place in the video would only be remembered for one file at a time. So if I wanted to watch something new, my stopping point at another video would be forgotten. I was pretty content with how the box was working for a while. Then over time of me plugging it in, unplugging and disconnecting it from the TV, and then putting it in my locker, the power plug started having an issue. The power port felt loose and the plug wiggled just a tiny bit, where the device wouldn't power on unless I kept tension on the cord to pull it downward. Sometimes it was if the plug wasn't turned inside the device. I managed with this new "quirk" for a while until recently it just wouldn't power up at all anymore. Since it wasn't working, I took off the cover to see if I could find the issue internally. I couldn't see any loose soldering or anything that would look like the plug could be fixed. It was a decent media player for the few months I had it, but I would caution people to be careful with the power adapter to not put too much force side-to-side on it when it's plugged in.

Does what it says, works without any trouble at all.
I was a little doubtful about this product because of some of the negative reviews, but decided to try it out anyway. I needed something like this because although my Samsung TV is supposed to be able to play MP4 files off a USB stick, it doesn't work too well, and sometimes just trashes (erases & reformats) the drive. And I desperately wanted to play some very precious old home movies stored as MP4, so this product looked like a viable option. I was expecting more difficulty than I had, tbh. I unpacked the item, read the instructions about updating the firmware, and followed them (after connecting to power & TV, obviously). Firmware update went without a hitch (make sure you're downloading the right firmware!!). Then I plugged in a small USB stick with some test videos, and read the manual about the controls (for example, pause/resume using the OK button). Zero problems so far, and I hadn't spent that much time on the whole thing. After that I was ready to roll. I was able to walk through my folder hierarchy, scroll through the file list, and play what I wanted. I set up the auto-resume in the settings (I think it's the default), and adjusted the screen zoom to make sure the entire picture was in the frame. That was it. So based on my experience, I have no trouble recommending this product. Read the manuals carefully (they are pretty clear, despite the reviews that claim they're not), and follow the instructions exactly (they're not complicated). Enjoy your success. If for some reason you have trouble, even after doing everything by the book, it's possible you got a bad one -- it happens. I would suggest first trying out a replacement (since Amazon makes that super-easy) before concluding the product is bad.

Cons: when powered up, it doesn't turn on your receiver and/or TV automatically. I did try different cables and a firmware update. Pros: it has played every video in every format with great picture quality and sound (set to pass-through) as well as recognized and listed every subtitle available. Tip: it takes a LONG time for firmware to install, don't turn it off, just wait.

Smooth playback for 4k mkv movies and mp3 files. Picture quality seems better and audio strength, especially surround, stronger than my andriod media box. The kind of media player I've been looking for.

Hasta ahorita está trabajando muy bien, los archivos h.265 no ha habido problemas, me falta reproducir videos 4k, pero viendo su desempeño creo que no tendrá complicación alguna

I expected the worst with this but it has amazed me! I didn't even bother to read the instructions and I plugged a 900GB Samsung SSD drive into it and connected it to my Samsung TV and turned it on and it came on after my TV searched for it and pefect picture. I have tons of old movies and TV programs from way back in the past and this plays almost all of them and it's like VLC player for my TV and ROCK ON! Just remember to select "MOVIES" on the main screen if you want to watch a movie because if you select a photo or music it will not play them. So make sure you select VIDEOS or PHOTOS or MUSIC first. The remote control is comfortable and very easy to use. There are no batteries for the remote control and no HDMI cable but that was Ok with me. The ONLY bad thing with this is the Adaptor and it has a 2 flat pinned plug with it and they are dangerous and a fire hazard and no way I will leave that ON when not in use. The adaptor that it arrives with is : AC/DC adaptor 60 hz 0.4 amps 5V 2000mA I am now using a spare 3 pinned 5V 2 Amp Adaptor I already had and it works great and is safe I am VERY pleased with this so far and amazed it plays all those ancient files I have. WELL DONE neumi ! (so far)
