Did what it was to do - at a really good price
Slave, not a really exciting part, but, it did the job perfectly and I saved a ton of money.

Doesn't fit 2004 Subaru Legacy L wagon
The hydraulic hose seat on the original part has an angle built into it to clear other parts on the engine/transmission. This slave cylinder does not have the proper hose seat angle, and therefore does not fit at all. Unfortunately, I failed to try to install this part until after the 30 day return window had passed, so I guess I'm stuck with it after getting one that fit from the local Autozone parts store.

Well, I got it to work.
I purchased a unit that was listed as a warehouse discount. The listing image had the stock photo. What I received was someone else's previous return. It was an opened package containing a damaged unit. The bleeder screw was broken off flush with the core. My guess is that the first purchaser couldn't remove it. It's anyone's guess whether this resulted from poor manufacturing or installer incompetence. Anyways, I cleaned up my old core and bleeder screw, put the guts from the new one in, and it's been working fine for the past month. So for under $6 and a little extra work, I did manage to complete the repair. So beware of warehouse discounted items. An open package may have been returned with stuff missing or broken. Fortunately, Amazon is pretty good about returns.

Its a decent replacement.
The product seems of decent build quality and is able to withstand the abuse I throw at it. We will see how long it lasts. However, it does seem to rust quite easily. I wonder if a coating of something would help with that.
