A Perfect Place to Start..
As a professional musician, academic, and lover of music for 50 years,I would recommend learning an instrument to anyone. If it's guitar,as a starter,or as a pro,I recommend Ibanez as the benchmark of instrument quality and expertise throughout their vast array of options. This lead guitar is a wonderful place to start. It also represents a gr8 improver diversity, and or Pro instrument.Beautiful Quilted Art top, humbuckers either side of a single,5 way switch, slim satin backed NZ pine neck/ fretboard...what's not to like?...compact enough for smaller hands, and smooth in pro terms.Tuners are great, and the tone is punchy, more rock than classical, for which I recommend the Art range..but for RG style at a modest price, this is the best around.Hope your music proves as rewarding to you,as it has been to myself...highly recommended

Great guitar for beginners and beyond
I bought this guitar in early 2021 when I was starting to learn. Since then, I have played a few guitars, including some expensive Fenders. More than a year later, having tried all those guitars, I can tell you this is a really good guitar and great value for money. It's still good enough after you have made progress and you wouldn't lose much money if you were going to sell it in a few years. The pickup configuration gives you great versatility. When you learn to play solos and power chords, it will give you a really good rock sound, depending of course what you connect it to. For this kind of price, some of the alternatives would have been secondary brands like Squier (by Fender) or Epiphone (by Gibson), which some people wouldn't feel comfortable with. With this one you get a good brand name, as well as a good rock sound.

Makes a great baritone
I bought this a while ago to convert to a baritone as I didn't want a longer scale length for portability and my finger size. It's a typical Ibanez neck which it was set up well on arrival and had a flawless finish. After testing it for a while to check how it played, I then replaced the strings with the bottom 6 of a heavy 7 string set and tuned it five semitones down. After setting intonation, it is now my go-to guitar! As a standard guitar it was a great player with a good sound, excellent for the price, but as a baritone it plays really well, with that heavy tone and dark sound!

Can't put this Guitar down..
Out of the box this was set up and tuned in.. (more than you can expect from most guitars of this price range.) The sound is great, its fantastic value for money. Having tried several 'High end' guitars just before I got this, I was very impressed as it plays better than guitars 3 times the price.. for me, this is a keeper, I haven't touched my other guitars since this arrived a few weeks ago, it just plays so well. The sound is clear and precise, the weight is right, no fret sprouts, the finish is excellent and everything is as it should be. The one point I would make is about the fretboard, this is a dry fretboard, and perhaps should have been oiled first, but I'll do that when I change the strings, but for the money, you can't go wrong..

Great beginner guitar
I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to using a guitar, which plenty of practice and study will sort out. However, I have to say that this is a lovely guitar and well worth the money. The guitar was just about in tune when I got it and just had to make the odd tweaks (I tune it using Guitar Rig 6 by Native Instruments). Hooked up to my Scarlett 2i2 interface, it sounds warm and lush, a great guitar to get things started. Not sure if it's my imagination, but I did have a fender copy (can't remember the manufacturer name), but I had trouble as the strings seemed a bit close together, this one however seems to be spaced lovely, and feels easier to get the right strings etc. I don't think you could go wrong with this guitar, great value for money.

Solid beginner's guitar
Having only started to learn how to play guitar, I opted for this left hand model Ibanez. I find it to be an affordable model for the beginning player, fair sound, straightforward to learn how to play.
