NCLEX Review 4000 Study Software for NCLEX-RN -Individual User Edition Tm Edition

I went to 2 different live NCLEX reviews. One was offered by the nursing school I attended at no cost, the other one i paid $350 for. Although there was some good information in the reviews, I was only able to apply something i learned from the $350 to ONE Single NCLEX question. I had purchased this CD and been using it my last semester in nursing school and then after I finished the reviews. This CD is ALL I would have needed because unlike the live reviews, this CD prepares you for the alternative style questions which you will encounter on the NCLEX exam. I LOVE THIS CD and highly recommend it. The majority of the questions I encountered on the NCLEX were select all that apply, which this CD has hundreds of for you to practice. It is also set up just like the NCLEX with same categories. You can choose your own topic such as Pediatrics, Maternity, etc or select to do questions by the NCLEX categories of Basic Care and Comfort, Physiologic Integrity, etc. I took the NCLEX on july 5, 2013 and passed with only 75 questions. IT WAS THE EASIEST EXAM I'd ever taken and easier than ANY exam I ever took in Nursing School or A&P only because of this CD and well it prepared me.

I just want to say how much I love this program! We have it at school, but I wanted this for my personal use so every time I used it I didn't have to go to school. I had a windows computer at the time. When I bought my Macbook, I found out that (unfortunately) it does not work on there. Its no big deal though because I just use it on my home computer (which uses windows). Anyway, I give this product FIVE STARS!!! I am currently in nursing school and have used this program to study for two HESI exams (basically mini state boards, or at least that is how I look at them) and done incredibly well on both of them. I recommend this program to anyone! Its so easy! and the rationale is generally very helpful!

Maybe a good study product but no good if you have tech. issues and cant open it. Waste of money for me and company has O tech support. There are some help sites of Microsoft site for compatibility issues with dealing with encryption etc.ALL in ALL a waste of money.

This is an outstanding tool to help nursing students study for their exams as well as prepare for the NCLEX board exam. The greatest feature is that you can create your own exams by selecting among different content area. You can take an exam in study mode, which allows you to see the correct answer with rational. You also can take an exam in test mode, which does not tell you the rational or correct answer until after you complete the exam. Once you complete the exam, your grade will be a certain percentage. The score will also provide content areas that you excelled in or need to improve upon. My nursing instructors have said that this is a great predictor of students pass rate of the NCLEX. Some of the content areas I have not learned yet, so it is hard for me to gage an accurate prediction of my pass rate. I do highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed. Also for the mac users out there, my classmate was able to install the disc with no problems.

I am scheduled to take the NCLEX exam on June 4, 2013, so I do not know yet whether the questions on this review are relevant and up-to-date considering that the NCLEX exam updates and becomes more difficult every three years, which just took place again in April of 2013. I am also doing the review course on the official NCLEX website.For what it's worth, we used ATI throughout school and the predictor test at the end (I received 98% chance to pass on first try). I also have three NCLEX review books, but I've barely looked at them. There is only so much you can do and read, so avoid my mistake of purchasing too many study aids!I have seen a lot of reviews for the NCLEX 4000 program that state this does not work on their laptop or beyond Windows XP. While that may have been true at one time, that is not the case now. I found a patch online before I ordered this product, and when I received the package, there was a piece of paper inside the package with the link to the patch included. It was simple to do. I don't know about Mac's, but it will work on a 64 bit and Windows 7 anyway.There are a total of 4088 questions in this program. I am using it in the study mode because I like to read the rationales as I go along. I am working my way through all of the questions and they are given in random order so it will be similar to the actual NCLEX exam. There have been a few screens that are blank when you click to go to the next question, but there have not been that many.Between the two programs I am using, the NCLEX 4000 and the review course on the official NCLEX website, I definitely find the questions on the official NCLEX review site to be much more difficult and challenging. I am not implying that I get all of the questions right on the NCLEX 4000, but it is relatively easy to eliminate the wrong answers which leaves you with the correct answers.I would probably purchase the NCLEX 4000 again. I like it because it's easy to sit here and click through questions and pick up tidbits along the way, but I'm just not sure if the questions are current or challenging enough. I'll have a better idea on whether it was useful after I take the NCLEX exam in two weeks.Here's to hoping for just 75 questions and a PASS. :-) Good luck everyone.

Once I uploaded the disk, it told me that it can not run on my system. I needed to get a patch for it to open. I called and they took my email to send it to me. Nothing. I gave it a day and then had to call back only to find that there was no info for my email on file and nothing was sent. It had to be resent. Because I ordered this and got it on a Saturday, couldn't call til Monday for the patch, then Tuesday again. So to have a disk to study from that doesn't work right away was not worth the money for a hassle to me. I even tried it on other computers with different operating systems all to say the same thing. Once I actually got to open this, I do like the format questions and the breakdown that you can make a test from. They also have alternate format questions which are good to practice. If you don't mind a hassle or can get if before a weekend then it might be a good choice.
