Well made, sturdy and adjustable
This is a review of the Moen DN7105 Home Care Transfer Bench. This is a really well made transfer bench for the bathtub/shower. It is sturdy, offers good back support and has an adjustable & very stable base and leg system. It's quite easy to put together requiring only a phillips head screwdriver. All the screws and washers you'll need are included in the package. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together. The bench seat is 33 inches wide by 18 inches deep. The legs use push button adjusters and can be adjusted from 16.5 to 21". Generally you will have to adjust the legs inside the tub to be shorter than the pedestal leg that is outside the tub. Each of the inner legs can be adjusted individually. The legs have silicone ends on them making them resistant to slipping. This is designed to hold up to 400 pounds. The legs inside the tub splay out a bit giving this very good stability, something I was very concerned about. The bench seat is wide and has rounded end that makes transfer quite easy. In my experience installing this we ran up against a couple issues... if the bathroom is small, you may possibly have a toilet very close to the bathtub. In that case, you may find this too large to enable easy entry and exit from the bench as the person's legs may be impeded by the toilet. There is also the issue of dealing with the shower curtain. There is a definite likelihood that water will not be contained in the bathtub/shower since the bench seat extends outside of the tub. Although there is a water channel around the perimeter of the seat, it will not contain all the water. If you search on Amazon you will discover shower curtains that have a split panel that might provide a better solution. If your tub has sloping walls you may have to have this further away from the edges and/or back of the tub than you may have thought. The handle on the one side of the bench is really great for giving the person using this a solid grab point and support point as they pivot into the tub. There is also a handy little attachment that lets you park a handheld shower head for ease of use. However you may have to get a longer hose to the handheld shower if yours is short. I am very impressed with the quality and utility of this transfer bench.

A quality shower bench!
This shower bench was easy to assemble because it came with clear, well-written instructions. I'm not mechanically savvy, but I had it from box to tub in about 45 minutes. And it's well made but isn't heavy, a blessing since I'm the one helping my husband--he broke ankle in 3 places, & can't put weight on his left foot & ankle for 2 months--and I'm not very strong. However, it's easy for me to store in the bath tub when not in use, or to take out of the tub when I want to shower, or to position the bench when he wants to shower. An almost perfect bench, but I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars for stability, because it moves a little more than I'd like when he sits down, but we also have a non-slip bath mat that might be the problem. The ONLY problem I have is adjusting the legs. I struggled to push in the buttons to adjust the height & once I got both sides the correct height, I never messed with the legs again. If you have strength issues for any reason, you might need help adjusting the legs. But better safe and well-constructed legs, than that the buttons push in or shift too easily, because I read about other benches that collapsed on users. Instead, I have 100% faith that our Moen bench is safe, which is most important. But my husband also said it's comfortable & he loves the holder in the front of the bench for the shower head. (I ordered an extra long shower hose when we ordered the bench, and so glad I did.) For easier use, I cut the shower curtain liner in the middle, and made a verticle opening for the bench & user (a physical therapist gave me that tip), and there's never water on the floor, because you still have the curtain in front of and behind you. He's been using the bench for 6 weeks now & we haven't had one problem. I highly recommend this Moen shower bench!

Great quality!
My son had a horrific car wreck and is currently in a wheelchair recovering. He played college football & golf and needless to say is a big guy. I debated about purchasing one of the cheaper chairs. However, those aluminum legs on those just didn't look like they would support his weight. Many of the reviews said as much. This turned out to be a great purchase. It's rock solid and worth every penny. We're currently in an apartment after selling so fast our beach condo. The tub is rather small, but the chair fits perfectly. The height on both sides is adjustable. It was easy to put together. He is able to sit on the outside and work his legs over & scoot to inside the tub. We tuck the shower liner around him to prevent water from ending up on the floor. Works great. So glad we went with this one!

Strong, sturdy, and large
This is a very large transfer bench and takes up a lot of space. It is sturdy and secure which is necessary for its use. Relatively easy to assemble. I bought this bench because my husband weighed almost 300 pounds when he went in the hospital. Four months later when he was discharged he only weighed 230 so he would not have needed this large size. But because of his limited mobility, I am glad that this is the one we have as the others that I have seen seem to wobble a bit too much for my liking. The holders for the bottles and hand held shower head have a habit of pulling out, but it could be that he doesn't pay attention to how he is retrieving the items. Two things to consider when purchasing this bench - it is large and since the toilet is close to the tub in our small bathroom, leg room to maneuver is limited. As with any of the benches take into consideration the slope at the back of your tub, this cannot be placed tub except at the widest flattest part. Also, I found this bench at our local Lowe's for $120 about two months after I had purchased from Amazon. If I would have had to return this bench, it would have been much easier at a local store. This is a good product and I would recommend it to anyone who has the space.

Fantastic bench.
This is a very sturdy solid bench. I love that it has a nice un-obtrusive appearance. The measurements in the description were accurate so it fit my shower perfectly. Highly recommended. The bench top is not rough but it is a non slip texture. Be aware... your not gonna sit and just glide over the surface. Your gonna sit and scoot over.

expertly designed and engineered to perfection
I have never been so pleased with a purchase. The transfer bench arrived as stated and was delivered to my door. The product was securely packaged in an Amazon box with plenty of padding. The bench, a Moen product, is expertly designed and engineered to perfection. It was easy to assemble, with arthritic hands and easy to set up in the tub. My tub does not have a level bottom; as it is an older tub that is sloped downward towards the drain. This downward slope made it difficult to stabilize other transfer benches and the outside legs broke or became too wobbly to safely use. The Moen bench is designed to avoid this problem with a large adjustable stand that sits outside the tub and stabilized inner legs that provide sturdy support for a safe seated shower. I used the bench right after it was assembled and was pleased to have a safe way to enter/exit the tub and a comfortable seat while showering. I could not afford this bench earlier and bought a Drive Medical transfer bench which was a complete waste of money because it was poorly designed and very unstable. The bench actually matches the decor of my bathroom, although I did not realize this when I purchased it. I use both a transfer bench shower curtain inside the tub and a standard shower curtain with liner outside the tub. The bench allows the shower curtains to lay flat enough to allow the water to drain inside the tub and keep the floor dry. The Moen Transfer Bench is excellent. I have never been happier with a purchase. It's 2025, 8 yrs later and I have a walk-in shower, so this sits outside it as my dressing bench. Still a great buy, easy to clean and tall enough to store a laundry hamper underneath for dirty clothes/towels and a whirlpool footspa. Excellent quality bench Worth ever penny.

It's the best household investment I've made recently.
My spouse is just under 400lbs. And I initially got this shower bench for him. He was constantly saying how his feet, ankles, and knees hurt so bad, while attempting to get in, or out of, the bathtub for a shower. Well . . . . . I don't know about him, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOWER BENCH!! I've had serious back pain for approx 19yrs. So, shaving my legs, or using a hair removing cream was seriously becoming a "Not Gonna Happen" experience throughout the years (decades), with just about every shower. I took showers only long enough to get the shampoo out of my hair and rinse the soap off. I'm over 55/yrs old. So, it got to the point where I wore long pants year round. Because of not being able to stand to shave, or to stand there long enough for hair removal creams to even work. Not only did I have such unusually long hair on my legs (I didn't know the hair on my legs did not stop growing!!) I had never experienced it before in my life. Another drawback of wearing long pants year-round . . . my legs were white enough that they glowed in the dark because of not getting any sun! This shower bench allows me to shave my legs, use hair removal cream, and/or I can just sit on the bench and let the water massage my back. In either case, I am so much happier with this bench in my life!! Ok, it is a bit on the awkward side of size. Owing to the fact that it doesn't completely sit in the tub. It sits about ¾ in, and ¼ out. But in all seriousness, I don't mind that at all. I've been in such a good mood since getting this bench. I don't complain about my back pain as much as I did before the bench. To me, that should be one of the sales points for this bench. Just knowing that I don't have to cut my shower short. And, I feel safe enough that I can take a relaxingly longer shower, too. Thank You So Much For Creating This Bench. I Love It!!

Fantastic and stable
This device is amazing... I know it's just a bath bench however it has transformed my shower experience. I am in a wheelchair and have use of all but one leg. The other leg is weak and I have frequent severe body pain. Transferring is extremely difficult to do with my shower set up with the regular shower chairs. This shower chair is sturdy and never moves on me. I've used it on bathtubs and currently use it in a standing shower with a lip on it. The 2 legs are in the shower completely and the large leg sits on the edge of the shower. It is very stable. I am able to transfer from my chair, directly into the shower bench. The handle is great for that initial support and the back is comfortable. Not as important, the chair warms up quickly but never gets to hot. I like to turn the shower on to warm up the bench first. The bench is easy to clean. I wipe the top down after every shower with an extended shower scrubber then do a full cleaning once a month. (With my physical limitations I have to get someone to clean the under side.) My wife thought it would be a huge problem for her and that it would get in the way. Now she uses it to shave with our just to sit and soak in the water.
