I am a new parent to gymnastics, and had no idea what I was purchasing when my child asked for these. The first that I bought was cheaper and I didn’t know what I was buying. Her coach said these are the only ones she suggests, and I can understand why the quality is much thicker and design and functionality appear to be top level equipment. I was told to use a pair of scissors too slowly scrape away the holes until they fit my daughters fingers. I don’t think you need to buy the file suggested. These allow you to fit them to the athlete.

My daughter was super excited to get her first pair of dowel grips. She's used palm grips initially and her coach suggested these grips. The narrow palm is good for transitioning because her hand can have more contact with the bar but will still have protection against rips. I measured from the base of her palm to the tip of her middle finger to determine the correct size. The Med fits her perfectly since she measured 6.5 inches. The grips needed to be broken in and the finger holes had to be adjusted. But that's typical with grips to get the right fit. She's very happy and couldn't wait to start using them!

Waste of money. Grips were too soft in the palms and pieces of the grip started chunking out after one night on bars. i was going to return but just threw them out. Never AGAIN!!! WILL ONLY BUY PIXIE BRAND FROM NOW ON.

They are great but not be able to use for about a month. The buckle is hard to slide out and in and kinda makes the leather come off a bit, which is fine just annoying. One other thing is the finger holes are very tiny! But when you break them in they should work! They delivered in less then 3 days, and came SUPER early. This was great just the finger holes.

These leather grips were an excellent investment for my daughter. After she broke them in, she said they fit like a glove and they brought her so much comfort. Highly recommend!
