Needed to replace some broken rivets on my cargo container with a broken lock (lost key). This tool fit the bill along with the price. Had I taken it to a repair shop they would have charged me a lot way over the cost to DIY. The tool worked the first time with good results. Thank you.

Works good. Plant of leverage for the larger rivers. Some people complained that it doesn’t release the pins after the snap off. Mine did this when I used the cheap rivets that came with it. The got stuck bad enough I had to disassemble it. When I used my high quality stainless steel rivets it works great and the pins drop right out. One star of the included rivets and five stars for the tool.

This hand-riveter works quite well. It is constructed well, and the parts that contact the rivets seem to be of higher quality than other consumer-grade hand riveters I've used. The handles are slightly longer than man hand-riveters, and curved, making it easier to rivet. I bought this item to replace an Arrow brand hand-riveter, and this unit is about 3X better than the Arrow. On the down-side: the case is well constructed, but the sections meant to hold the supply of rivets doesn't completely enclose the rivets when the case is closed, allowing the rivets to move about. Also, this riveter seems to take more squeezes of the handles to install a rivet than other hand-riveters I've used. It's annoying, but not a deal-breaker.

This is a really nice set. An assortment of rivets plus a really nice rivet gun in a convenient box. Great buy!

Basic rivet gun. Does the job well for what you get, include rivets are subpar quality but hard to complain at the price point.

The riveter works OK when installing rivets however the tool WILL NOT RELEASE THE PIN WHEN THE TOOL IS OPENED! The first 5 rivet pins could not be ejected nor could they be pulled out using pliers. Only way to get tool to release pin was to remove the mandrel, push down jaws with small Allen wrench and let the pin fall out of the jaw housing. The tool design fails to relax spring tension on the jaws resulting in consistent failure to eject the pins. UPDATE: The problem was due to operator error along with a confusing manual. Turns out I was using a mandrel that was too small. It appears that the size of the mandrel consists of the opening diameter as well as the length of the mandrel. A longer mandrel keeps the jaws from gripping the pin thus allowing the pin to drop free.

Does what's it supposed to do. It nice to have it all in one kit and with the correct sized drill bits supplied.

Weight, ergonomics is excellent.
