Stunning...I ordered 2 and glad I did. I figured they would be on the smaller side. I love Marzipan anything and this did not disappoint. The best! Packages arrived from Germany 💝 I just ordered 2 more! 😊 I'm bringing 1 to family for the Holiday and the other 2 I ordered I will savor and keep for myself, okay maybe the other I'll keep as something to serve for company or a gift...maybe 😉 So far it's all as described with the Cherry jam with a hint of liquer(not overpowering at all, it's subtle). It's beautiful and perfect looking. I can definitely see this on a charcuterie board...Beautiful box as well. So far the 2 I received on 2 different dates arrived in perfect condition. The dark chocolate is crisp and the perfect amount. The ratio from dark chocolate to black cherry jam, hint of liquer to marzipan is just right in my opinion. Maybe with others that had issue it's the time of year its purchased? I can see this melting during hot summer days/tainting layers and not looking like the picture. Id still eat it and enjoy it though but thats me. If im not gifting or serving id even consider melting it a little in the microwave. This would make a wonderful gift or to bring for a dessert spread. I'll update as I open and receive the others if there are any issues but so far 2 are perfect👍 (it's been on the colder side where I am) I have no complaints and definitely would buy again- (I just did lol) Fresh, crunchy exterior with a soft,somewhat moist interior of marzipan with a nice little layer of delicious cherry jam. Literally as it looks on the box and pictures advertised. Serves 6 but it's easy to eat a little extra than a serving😋 💕

First let me say these are made in Germany and incredible if you appreciate excellent traditional Marzipan, this particular one is a Cherry. They are small, but fantastic! I normally order from GetmanFoods.com $21 ea sent from Germany and arrive perfectly. I only paid $15 from Stateside seller. But they were shipped by Amazon. Two small Tortes placed in brown shipping large unpadded envelope with two larger hard plastic DeWalt tool boxes?? How lazy, thoughtless or unintelligent was the person or robot?? The Totes, still pricey $15 at 6 oz, should have been bubble wrapped and shipped in a hard box. I am rating the product correctly with high stars, but wish I could rate the shipping with negative stars. Amazon is becoming more and more problematic, requiring more follow up as, in the DMV, no quality. Though Delivery has improved here-there! Thank you

Both the picture and the description is somewhat misleading. The "cake" I expected is white marzipan layered with sour cherries (hence the "Black Forest" name) and covered with chocolate. Instead I got, as the enclosed picture depicts, brown - I assume chocolate mixture - marzipan covered with dark chocolate. It does not look like the advertised picture and it is miniature in size. Admittedly, when I ordered, the "185g (6.5 oz)" weight listing did not register with me, but I didn't expect a 4inch "cookie" either. In addition, the marzipan is of questionable quality and hardly taste like marzipan.

This was one of those Amazon suggestions based on past purchases. The algorithm knows I like marzipan. 🤭 I’d never heard of this — mixing it with cherry, but OMG this is the best. It’s like Black Forest marzipan. 😛 And it doesn’t highlight it on the package, but there is a touch of brandy in there or some alcohol. Mmm. It tastes so authentic German delicious. Makes a great dinner-party gift too. I see other reviewers are complaining about the age of the item and receiving old chocolate. Mine was fresh and beautiful and not old.

Oh My Goodness it was delicious ! If you're a marzipan lover, as I am, you're gonna love this. Smooth dark chocolate, a thick layer of tasty jammy stuff, and high quality marzipan. Admittedly it was quite small, about 5" in diameter, but quite thick, and to me, worth it. You pay for quality, and bought for me instead of an Easter egg. Will definitely buy again. I've also tried the Niederegger marzipan loaf assortments, and they were amazing too. But this is my out and out favourite, and can't wait to buy more. In fact I've just eaten the last bit, and my finger is already hovering over the 'buy with one click' button. You like marzipan ? You'll love this .......
