I bought a new kayak rack for my truck. A new rack also calls for new straps. After poking around, I settled on these and am super happy I did. They are strong, easy to use and hold really tight. Great straps for my needs!

Ordered from Amazon and arrived today (took 2 days to deliver), there were so many great reviews on this product which normally I don't trust since been burnt before on just trusting reviews, but these straps are outstanding. I been using straps for decades in my trucks to secure various things and these are quick/easy compared to ratchet straps and locking mechanism has a ton of teeth on them that our throughout the mechanism (not just on the very end of the clip like I seen on other products I used in the past). once locked it doesn't budge and release causes zero damage to the material. Also, lifetime warranty which is why I went with this compared to others since they build their product to last (won't be cost effective to build with cheap parts and have to satisfy a ton of warranty claims) and they stand behind their product. extremely satisfied and wish all companies made stuff to last versus cheap stuff that ends up in landfills! if you need straps buy these, you won't regret,

New to having roof racks and a vehicle that i could install them even newer having to use them . I finally pulled the trigger after selling my last kayak to my parents when they moved away to Texas with the only vehicle i felt comfortable carrying them (truck) , recently got a new vehicle that could support it kinda funny kinda silly I liked the name bison ( like my parents saying good bye son) and the reviews were really good so I’m like let’s give em a shot they are sturdy strong and very nicely made. I was a bit hesitant at first swearing i could hear my dads voice in my head more ratchet straps son but these clip type ones did the trick ( I didn’t see an instruction guide in it ) but YouTube is a thing and they were easier than ratchet straps without the did I slide that in the right section problems I would run into with the crank system ones. Have worked great to tie down our kayak to the car roof racks. Sturdy and secure.

Used these to secure a Tuff Box to a trailer hitch mounted carrying rack for vacation (travelled >1000 miles). Works as advertised and very sturdy. I am rating four stars because the product can be very obviously improved by designing an easier way to secure the extra strap length. It's no biggie, as duct tape works very well, but still it would be nice to have such a feature.

Great price, great materials, and overall a solid company to buy from. The item is functional and meets expectations, but make sure to inspect the stitching before accepting delivery. My first package arrived with one strap misaligned and one of four straps completely unusable. I contacted the company, and they quickly resolved the issue by sending a replacement—excellent customer service. I’ll definitely look forward to buying from this company again. Great straps! Cinch down nice and tight, and they stay that way.

I’ve used em a few times, but the real test was the 3 1/2 hour trip (each way) strapping down my kayak on some aftermarket roof racks. I stopped a few times to make sure they held up, and the straps did not budge. Did 3 walk-arounds in my dis-belief. I have already recommended these to my kayak group as well as folks from work. I doubt I’ll have to buy again, but will definitely use bison straps if I have to.

These seem really solid. Immediately felt confident my kayaks were secure upon first strap up. I’ve gone through many flimsy straps and these don’t feel flimsy at all. Drove an hour each way at 100-120 km and the straps held beautifully. No loosening. Completely satisfied and will order more.

My order of 4 Bison tie down straps arrived today from Amazon and I wanted to give you my opinion. Firstly, they are great quality, strong straps and simple but effective buckles which seem designed not to catch on anything. I’m happy to pay a premium for a premium quality item and these straps don’t disappoint and yet the cost is comparable with non-branded straps. Secondly, they come with a smart pouch to store them in which is a really useful addition. I will definitely be looking at other Bison Gear goods in the future

I've bought many, many buckle straps over the years, from all different brands, at all different price points. These are great, well made, strong and reliable. The cheapest buckle straps are prone to failure when putting them under a lot of tension (especially when pulled across corners) and usually snap suddenly (there's no warning from visible fraying usually), but these thicker style straps are much more forgiving and long lasting. Buy them and you won't regret it!
