Excellent Product
Excellent build quality. Good value for money. The auger comes in 3 separate pieces. All fit together perfectly and the bolts supplied to secure the joints are large and robust. Good quality Box Spanners in 2 sizes, are even supplied to complete the assembly. Excellent purchase.

What a life saver. No more digging holes for posts, just use the auger. Nicely made and simple to use and works. Very pleased

Nice piece of kit
I am very happy with this purchase so far. Strong and does the job and able to tunnel through clay and stones with ease. As reported by others, the screws holding the handles do come loose and need retightening but that is not much of a problem.

Good solid tool, worked well
Worked well, used to dig 12 holes for picket fence, dealt with stones, clay and soil - trick is don’t over do it, make a couple of turns, remove the soil, dig again, remove soil etc dig too deep and you can’t get it out if the hole!

Robust manual fence post hole auger.
This manual fence hole post auger is a functional peice of kit for fence hole digging. I used in combination, with a post hole digger and a trench shovel to get the task done. The auger worked very well, its robust, self assembly handle and shaft to auger bit, the auger bit is a perfect size for the fence post, helps with the speed of the task in soils. Good price compared to other competitors.

Ideal for soft ground
This a good sturdy piece of kit for your domestic garden. It’s nice and large and heavy. It doesn’t look flimsy at all. The only issue I have with it is that you really have to push on it to get it to remove some dirt. I know at the moment the ground is really dry, but I was hoping for a better result than just scraping the surface. At the moment, my job has stopped because I’m not getting any results. Maybe it is for soft already dug over soil and not the hard ground that we have at the minute. I might have to resort to a bit to fit in a drill, which I was hoping to avoid.

Vonhaus auger
Having tried and failed to get a substantial rotary washing line ground stake into our stoney ground I decided to try an auger. I am amazed how easy it was to create a hole with this bit of kit. Obviously it’s designed for fence post holes but it did the job easily. I couldn’t happier.

Good bit of kit
Slightly larger diameter than expected. Connections need to be well tightened, could have done with another couple of bolts but no real problem so far. Dug a good hole for a rotary air dryer in very stony soil, albeit with a bit of effort. Excellent for mixing compost in the compost bni. For £25 or so, can't go wrong really.
