Sena Universal Helmet Clamp kit with HD Speakers (20S EVO, 30K, 50S)

Perfect for use on a second helmet or replacing a broken / damaged mic or ear pads. Installs and works exactly like the one that comes with the transponder from SENA. Check the reviews on the Helmet you want to install this on to see how much difficulty you'll have mounting it. Some helmet makes are less installation-friendly than others and require you to use the adhesive strips instead of clamping. There should be enough cord to reach the ear and mic mounting areas without issue. Check the instructions OR look for installation tips on SENA's site and from YouTube contributors.

There’s nothing wrong with the quality of this kit, but if all you need is one part, it is overkill. Well, at least I have spares for everything else, but if you can use only one microphone option of the three included, this just gives you two more spares you can never use. Next time I replace a helmet, though, I’m going to have to find a way to recycle the sole new part I need because this is an expensive way to get one replacement part.

For once it's nice to receive an unopened package from amazon. All of the bits and pieces were here as would be if you purchased from a Cycle Gear store or elsewhere. I appreciate that packaging was minimal and the sticky pads did not seem worn out or old. Unlike another reviewer stated, I have not noticed any difference in the audio quality from my Sena 30k original base to this base / mic. They appear and function exactly the same. No reason to worry. Pleased with this purchase though I do think it's a little on the pricier side.

Works as it should. They should provide better instructions for different mounting options that are provided in the kit. You kind of have to kind of figure out how to make it all work. I have been using another one for years with no problems.

The installation really depends on the helmet. For me it’s never been the easiest thing to do and it takes about 10-15 minutes. So if you’re only going to install it once, that no big deal, but I was installing this on different helmets on a regular basis for what I did. SENA does make a higher quality unit for better sound quality, but these are fine. I actually have three and likely have to buy another one. These were on sale when I bought the last headset and I probably should have bought two sets. Basically, once installed, they’re great.

1/10/22 update - I revisited this sena 50 base install and completely removed / reinstalled - I found a hidden pinched speaker cable that placed stress on the connection. Once corrected this unit performed equally as well as the other 4 units. Changing to 5 stars. ———————— This is the 5th sena 50s base set I have purchased and the only one with issues. The other 4 were part of a packaged set. This one was purchased to add functionality to a new helmet. It was not in retail packaging upon arrival and was instead in a plain package. ( That should have been a warning to me… ). I installed to the new helmet and had intermittent issues. Spend several months fiddling around until I examined it more closely and compared to a working unit. The contacts on this one are recessed to deeply to make regular contact with the head unit. My guess is that this is an item which was returned and resold as new. Hmmmm…. Should have purchased from revzilla like the others. That’s what I will do now. Oh well - good luck to the next guy…

Had minor glitch w shipping and seller was extremely quick to respond and correct it. Products were mounted on our pfanner protos arborist helmets. Allows us to have safe conversation during chainsaw use. Great product Great seller
