It is exactly what it says. I use it for smoothies to change the color of my smoothies since I use lots of spinach. Green smoothies don’t look very appetizing. The beet extract works well to change the color to red and has good flavor as long as you don’t mind the taste of beets. I use raspberry’s, strawberries, and blueberries to make the flavor better. With this combination of fruit, you won’t taste the beet extract very much. Pineapple juice works great to if you want more fruity great taste to smoothies. I like this extract because they don’t add anything else to it and beets are proven to dramatically reduce the likelihood of getting dementia or Alzheimer’s. Protects the brain! I would assume that’s only if you consume it on a regular basis.

My favorite brand of beet root powder. It does cake a little bit, so I sift it and then put it in an airtight container with one of those silicone packets that comes in supplement bottles. It tastes sweet, not bitter or pungent like some beet powders.

I intake beet root powder daily and give it a lot of credit for my health and energy at age 76. I've been using it for several years. So, I am always looking for high quality beet root at a good price. This product is an excellent value. I actually put the beet powder in my coffee pot filter basket along with my coffee grounds for an excellent tasty wake-up brew. This product dissolves well in the hot water and the flavor is sweet and earthy. It makes an excellent "pink coffee" powerhouse drink. 5-stars and I will buy again.

I love the taste and the quality…I brought another brand but I came back to this brand. However this time when I got the pkg was half full bs the 1st time it was full. Love it just the same. Taste the same as real beet juice.

This is beetroot.. beets generally taste like dirt ! LOL does not matter if you pluck the lil buggers out of your organic garden... they taste like dirt!... add a orange... a nanner ... what ever for juicing... it is good for you... this does work in a smoothie.. hold your breath.. and down it... could be worse so just thank your lucky stars that you can use the benifets in beetroot in a smoothie...so suck it up cupcake... it is good for your.. . it is not donut flavor.. this is beetroot.. they grow in the dirt.. and are super good for you... so if you don't wanna eat those canned beets... load your smoothie with this.. ( it really is not that bad... least it is not Kale...) Lol

This is the 4th provider from whom I've purchased beet root powder. The first, a super market, was too expensive, the second, not bad, but changed to try a new small business, who runs out of stock too often. This provider is the most economical, and the quality is very good, virtually clump free, and tasted pretty good. Delivery was fast, and mixes well with the other veggie, BCAA, fiber, marine collagen, marine greens, powders and citrus juice I mix up every morning. Recommend you give it a try!

Was clumpy so when I went to pour it into my container it spilled on my counter - maybe could use some better moisture control. I like the 2lb size that saves money.
