This mat is amazing!! I ended up purchasing 3, 1 for my car which has dark interior that gets very hot and now my pup stays cool, 1 for my dogs crate and back to buy 1 more for in the window where he sits and gets so hot in the summertime -not anymore he’s the coolest down on the street 😎 Also there portable, You can take them anywhere very easy to clean. I ended up handwashing , they dry quickly, wish I had bought it earlier in the summer. I highly recommend these and just found another use this fall when my pup had itchy times after adventures in the leaves - the cool helped soothe his itchy belly . Keeps your pet cool, stays cool and could even be used for human cooling -w muscle soreness, when feeling feverish , headache relief - so many options !! This mat does not have the cooling gel pad inside, what is does is allow air to breath under your dog and keeps them comfortable. I put one on the back of my chair that I sweat in, with this pad I was perfectly comfortable. I highly recommend these. I have them in the car for the dogs, on our bed, in their beds, on the couch and in their outside pad. My dogs love them.

Yeesh, pay attention to the measurements of the size you are ordering. And be sure to understand what this exactly is, and what it isn't. It isnt a mat, it doesnt have cooling gel or other material in it. It is a cooling material that doesnt trap heat. It can feel cool to the touch, but it seems to mostly not trap heat. Which is a very helpful for temp regulation. When presented with laying on this or laying on the material of their bed (fleece), they choose this. I have basically layers of foam material wrapped in a microfiber fleece blanket. It equates to about the length and width of a twin sized bed. I put this on half of it. Each one of my dogs (separate times) chose to lay on this instead of the regular blanket. Can place on bare floor. Wont be any cushioning, but the blanket seems to be preferred over laying on bare floor (and they also like laying on bare floor). Again, I think the heat isnt trapped under them. Though cant be sure. Side by side with another blanket I bought, they prefer that over this. But I am still pleased with this purchase. I figured if they didnt like it for day time use, I would put it on our bed as they sleep with us. If you need active cooling, then either a water filled or gel filled mat might be more appropriate. Or take some water bottles or ziplock bags, fill with water (lay bags flat, maybe doubt bag), freeze it, then place under a blanket like this for dogs (or cats) to lay on or lean on.

I have to say this cooling mat wasn't exactly as I expected but that is my own fault for not paying attention. I tried purchasing a cooling mat a few years ago for my pup and it was like plastic-y feeling and had some kind of gel in it to keep your dog cool. Well my dog didnt really lay on it much and it was kind of heavy. So I returned it. Seeing we are seasonal campers and spend a ton of time outdoors and it gets pretty hot I thought I would try again with the cooling mat to see if she would use it. To my surprise this isn't what I expected but its better. My pup lays on it all the time and its not heavy at all. There is no plastic-y feel to it either. It is made of all fabric which means it is WASHABLE. I have already washed and dried it in my machine and it came out perfect. No shrinkage or deformation. One of the stitches that holds the edging on did come apart but that was no issue for me as I just threw it on my sewing machine and it was fixed in no time. I am not really sure how this mat works but it does actually feel like a few degrees cooler when you touch it. My pup has shorter legs and a stalky build, she weighs about 65lbs and she fits perfectly on this mat.

Not really sure if I used this correctly, but it was very small and there really wasn't much point to it after we got it wet, it was just like laying a wet towel down...however a wet towel is helpful in the heat I suppose...

Highly recommend! Great Product and my mother's dog uses them all the time. He prefers to lay on these. When you put your hand on them you can feel they are cooler. I got him new ones to replace his old ones (you can see he has an older one on the floor in the background) and he was happy with it! They last longer if you don't dry them in a dryer. I suggest hang drying them to get more life out of them.

its nice it is cool but not as cool as some other blankets are
