We used these plastic eggs in our motorized egg decorator that spins quickly while you use markers to decorate. They worked great, my kids and their friends decorated many eggs! The matte finish is perfect for markers, and the colors go on nicely. You do need to let the marker dry for about 30 seconds to avoid smudging, but once dry they look great. The kids also enjoyed just drawing pictures directly on the eggs, which worked really well too. Fun, durable, and perfect for Easter crafts!

These are terrific for my crafts. No color ensures a beautiful outcome.

Able to color eggs

I use these eggs to decorate with acrylic makers. A minor issue, the white paint finish is slightly glossy which makes the white egg look just like a regular hen egg. But it doesn't hold paint as well requiring eggs to be carefully handled while decorating to keep maker paint from smearing. Once acrylic paint is dry it seems to hold up well. But I did find that if painted with a brush using acrylic paint that the paint does not adhere well is easily rubbed off after it is dry. I use spray shellac to protect paint on finished decorated egg. This keeps the paint from being rubbed off or chipped during handling and storage. Overall I find these pretty much perfect for decorating and use these to sponsor egg decorating craft activities. They would be perfect if they could be purchased with a rougher eggshell type of finish.

The only reason I bought these was because the description said they were able to be died for Easter. Imagine my disappointment when I had everything all set up, had the kids at the table, and then open the box to discover they are only plastic eggs and will not hold one drop of die. They also can’t be painted, because the plastic is too slick and the paint doesn’t stick. They are good solid eggs that you can use to hide for Easter, even though they don’t open to put anything in them, I relied on the description to sell me them because it said they were able to be dyed. If you are looking for dyeable eggs, please pass because these are not them.

I was excited to get these eggs, with the egg tray to make decorating and storing easy. However, my eggs just came in a box, with no egg tray. Pretty disappointing since it's the only packaging pictured and is included in the product description.

I got these eggs for my child to decorate for Easter, and they were a big hit! I’m not exactly sure what material they’re made of — maybe plastic or something similar — but they were perfect for painting. My child had so much fun getting creative with them, and it kept her engaged for a good while. It’s a simple, fun activity that doesn’t make a mess and feels very festive. We’ll definitely be getting more next year — highly recommend for little holiday crafters!
