Sensitive Skin Calm On Foaming Cream Cleanser

This face Wash is fantastic very soothing does not dry your skin and is great specifically for sensitive skin. Does have a weird smell because it has absolutely no fragrance so you are smelling all the ingredients. So if you really have sensitive skin you would appreciate that.

I love the product itself and has been working really well on my sensitive skin. I use this after using the honest makeup remover wipes and before using the daily calm moisturizer. For a "fragrance free" product it does seem to have a scent but not a pleasant, perfume scent. It reminds me of what I imagined the foot cream in mean girls was *supposed* to make Regina George's face smell like (not the minty scent it ended up actually having lol). Kinda pungent, but in an earthy way. I wish it smelled more like the daily calm moisturizer, which has no fragrance but doesn't smell quite like this. Overall, I love it for what it does to my skin. I just have to rinse this well and top it off with moisturizer to cover the weird *imaginary mean girls foot cream* smell. If that doesn't make sense, scroll along HA!

I decided to buy this product after noticing that it recieved a low (and good) score on EWG Skin Deep Database. I noticed some reviews for this product prior to buying it that complained about the smell, however I ignored those reviews and decided to purchase this cleanser anyways. WRONG CHOICE!!! As soon as I opened the seal, an awful odor filled my nose. This cleanser reeks of a rotten nasty "feet" smell, or in other words, a dirty pool locker room. The smell is absolutely atrocious. I know that this product probably "stinks" because there are no fragrances used, but how on earth can they sell this product without even TRYING to make the smell somewhat bearable? There are so many natural or more healthy fragrances they could have used to balance out this smell. Every time I use this product, I feel like I am smearing mold and waste on my face. Skincare has become extremely unenjoyable for me, and I am only NOT throwing it away because I have some faith that this product will work or end up suprising me. However, my face does not feel noticeably softer, more moisturized, or cleaner so far. It is just like using water! If you don't mind holding your breath everytime you wash your face, then I would recommend this simple "natural" cleanser for you.

I love this face cleanser for my sensitive, blemish-prone skin. Only thing I will note is that mine has a bit of a funky smell. I haven’t ordered this before, so it may be from shipping in a hot box (the cap also broke in the mail so it won’t close).

I have very sensitive skin and trust EWG Skin Deep to guide me with my choices. This cleanser is the answer to my wishes for the past nearly two decades of looking for an effective product to gently clean my skin. It does have a funky smell and to me this indicates how much perfume is used to hide the smell of ingredients in other products which have caused my chronic sensitivity. One small suggestion, if this came in a 100ml tube it would not need transferring into a travel size container. I sincerely thank Honest Beauty for being brave enough to produce this wonderful product.

Everything in me wanted to leave a glowing 5 star review so I’m disappointed I can’t. The product itself works well. I have extremely sensitive skin and I’m pleased overall….however, I just can’t get past the smell. I will not buy it again solely for the fact that the smell is HORRENDOUS! I know it’s not supposed to be scented in any way so I wasn’t expecting a “good” smell but it literally smells like spoiled milk. I have to hold my breath from the time I open the bottle until I wash it completely off my face.

This cleanser works very nicely, it lathers up well and a little bit goes a long way. Leaves skin feeling moisturized, but the smell is horrible. I ended up mixing in some cedar and rose essential oils to mask it.

This is great; it cleans off makeup, but is gentle. I use a pea size amount on wet fingers and massage it all over my face, even eyelashes to get rid of mascara, with no irritation, and wipe it off with a wet washcloth. It leaves my face soft and clean, but with no residue, dryness or tightness. I can barely detect any odor at all. It's rare that I hit the jackpot on the first try when looking for a new product, but this is my new, one and only face wash. I found it in my search switching for clean, non-toxic products, and what a bonus--it's affordable.
