great! love these! I find excuses to get international concepts unfinished furniture because I love it so
I love these chairs, beautifully and carefully made-look fantastic, amazing price, and they're solid wood and will last forever! I finished mine with danish oil to bring out the grain, and they look lovely. I hope all my other dining chairs break apart so I can replace them with these awesome chairs. I love the high back on the mission style chairs, and they match my desk I got last year, which was a happy coincidence, I hadn't realized they were both mission style until it arrived. No issues with assembly, though the instructions aren't stellar, just don't totally screw down the front legs until the stretchers are installed, it's no big deal. Leave the front legs slightly loose until you sit on the chair and then tighten them down, there's plenty of give to make sure your seat isn't wobbly. The hardware is ikea styles and sizes and easy to replace for most people, should you need a piece. They were packed and protected well in transit and I had no issues with delivery, unpacking, assembling, or using the chairs. Finishing was a bit tough, danish oil has a learning curve and so does rubberwood! But I learned a ton and these were great practice for the solid cherry spinning wheel that just arrived that I'm currently finishing. I do use a cushion, though the seats have a slight scoop out for your bottom, I find a cushion is much more comfortable than bare wood. I use one of the chairs at my desk though, so I sit on it for longer than you probably would during an average dinner at a dining table.

Extraordinary Value
I generally prefer unfinished furniture as I like to do my own wood finish and am very picky. I'm also tired of all the black or very dark furniture which is all that is available in stores these days. I want to see the beauty of natural wood and unfinished furniture tends to be solid wood rather than a mix of veneer and composite etc.. When I saw that these chairs were made in Viet Nam I had a brief qualm because it always seems pot luck with foreign made items but I took the chance anyway. These chairs are fabulous! The workmanship is first class. They use local hardwoods which tend to be a little heavy but are very very sturdy and they take a stain beautifully. The hardware provided is top notch and the instructions are easy to read and follow. There was virtually no pre-finish sanding required as the wood is silky and smooth. I used a golden oak stain, a light rub with steel wool and then a satin finish poly and these chairs are gorgeous. They look and feel much more expensive than they were. Excellent product.

Quality chairs for a very reasonable price
I bought these chairs because I previously had upholstered chairs that I was scrubbing constantly. My young kids would wipe their dirty hands, runny noses, and nasty feet all over the fabric. These have been much easier to clean! They feel heavy and sturdy. I will say, we had to put felt pads on the bottoms of each leg (which we probably would have done anyway, to be honest) to keep them from wobbling. I bought four and all four of them required the felt pads. They’re also not that comfortable to sit in for a long time. That being said, I’m very pleased with my purchase. It’s a really quality piece of furniture for the price.

Excellent crafstmanship
For chairs that must be assembled, the instructions were clear and easy to understand. The first chair took about 30 min, with the next 7 about 15 min each. All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and the Allen wrench provided with each chair in the bag containing screws and bolts. A drill driver with long Phillips bit helps. Tip: you need to tighten the bolts with the Allen wrench much the same way to tighten lug nuts on a tire. Start snugging up the 3 in the middle first, then snug up the 2 bolts in each back leg. Then go back to 3 in the middle as they will now be loose. then go back to the 4 in the legs as they will probably be loose. Repeat this process several times until all 7 bolts are nice and snug. Don't crank too hard or you may strip them out. Once you've done the first chair, you will understand better what I mean. I bought the pre-finished chairs. The finish is beautiful and clear of defects. Each chair is identical, no imperfections among the 8 I purchased. It matched my existing dining table perfectly. You wouldn't know they didn't come as a set. You should install felt pads on the feet (not provided) for use on hard surface IMO. I would definitely buy these or other rubber wood products from this company without reservation. Made in Vietnam. There is some foam and plastic packing material which should be replaced by something recyclable.

Good chairs, arrived broken
These are good chairs, sturdy, stainable, etc. This package was the first out of about 40 orders that arrived with one of the seats split in half. No way to contact seller that i could find so i gotta eat a chair.

Some things you should know….
Fist off, these chairs are sturdy! Comfortable too. The wood they are made from doesn’t grow here in the states. It has a bamboo like texture to it, but also has grains like any other solid wood. The chairs arrived smooth to the touch so additional sanding isn’t required. That said, I sanded a few slightly rough spots before finishing. The only downside is that no matter how much you sand it it’s never perfectly smooth. After painting with 2 coats it still feels slightly rough in texture. It doesn’t bother me because I built my table from scratch and I like the rustic feel that the chairs bring to my table. When you apply the first coat of paint it will look pretty bad. Meaning it looks very streaky and uneven unlike pine or oak. Good news is that the second coat of paint will smooth everything out and fill any voids that the first coat left behind. As you can see in one of the pictures I also purchased some of their kid’s chairs. I have 4 of those total and I’m building a miniature version of my dining room table for the kids to use when we have many guests. I weigh 200 pounds and I can sit in the kids chair and it doesn’t budge. Very solid chairs (large and small). Worth the money for a DIY type person that needs chairs to match their projects. Would definitely recommend and buy again.
