Great gift for Uncle that is bird lover! He wants another bird but is sick and unable to care for one right now. Gave him these charming little birds to put in his cage. Birds were able to mimic whistling the Andy Griffith theme which tickled him no end. Only down side is there no volume control and it can be loud and it also picks up and repeats background noise. Still great value for money!

The birds are difficult to take off the perch which is a good thing. I had to reseat one of the birdies to make it work but that is explained in the instructions. If I had to buy again, I would go for the single bird instead of the duo. Everything is repeated twice with them. Very fun and beautiful to look at.

I inserted the three AA batteries and then my wife and I set these two parakeets on the mantle and laughed for about twenty minutes. Everything worked. They talk and sing on their own, or they repeat whatever you say, but translated into a high parakeet tone of voice. The two birds operate independently; they do not move or speak at the same time, suggesting that there are two channels in the base. Everything moves, the tail, wings, head, beak, and body. It is amazing the amount of mechanical and electronic gadgetry that went into these. The only thing it doesn't do is respond to movement in the room, but we have an older model that does that. If this one breaks tomorrow, we still got our money's worth.

It's a nice plastic product. I think the birds and stand are relatively sturdy. Don't count on taking the birds back off their perch though. I think you could damage the birds. The biggest thing is they don't repeat what you say. At least mine do not. It does make the call of a cardinal, Carolina wren or house finch in rotation. Not a parakeet. It is quite loud and the volume is not adjustable. I will try to put some cotton and tape over the speaker and try to muffle it. Otherwise it's a nice object. I think the birds look quite realistic and I think I will enjoy it.

I bought this for my 81 year old mother after my Dad died. She loves it, speaks to it every morning and night. Also entertains guests with it. Makes everyone laugh. They’re cut bird like voices repeating what they hear. It’s great when they laugh with you. I wish it had an automatic timer that could be set for waking hours that automatically turned it on and off. That would make it perfect!!

Cute but it plays back every sound. Door shutting. People talking. Dogs barking. It’s annoying and really loud.

This is a clever toy for all ages. The birds look realistic and move in a natural way while they repeat clearly the words and Moises they hear. I bought it for a three year old but a friend with Altzheimers thinks they are real He talks and sings with the birds for hours The buddies have proved very useful to entertain someone with dementia I shall buy more for gifts

Have them set out. Great conversation piece. Not just for kids.

For the price, i thought it would be a better quality. IT's ok, but thats it.

Covering the little red light with a sticker cause its ugly but otherwise, these are really pretty and work great at a very reasonable cost.
