This saved my scalp
I’ve had eczema (or seb derm) on my scalp for YEARS and most shampoos make it worse. I’ve tried them all. Truly. This one is the only one that keeps my dryness, flaking, and sores at bay. It’s preventative but also healing when I do have flare ups. The eczema on the rest of my body responds well to zinc, which is the active ingredient in this. My scalp used to be such an issue for me, every day. Now it rarely crosses my mind. Even though it’s marketed as a “detox” shampoo, I use this every time I wash and always wash twice. Only on my roots. It doesn’t seem nearly as harsh as other “clarifying” shampoos. I recently tried to switch to the L’Oréal everpure moisture shampoo because I was worried this shampoo was harsh… my scalp is all scaly, red, and cracked from the switch. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it! This shampoo is helping heal the healing, itchiness after just one wash. My hair is also blonde, color treated, down to my bra line and quite thick so I don’t think it’s damaging. I’ve used it consistently for years. The fragrance doesn’t bother me, while the fragrance in most other shampoos definitely does (Olaplex, redkin, Paul mitchell etc), even in “scalp care” shampoos. I also have allergies and very sensitive skin in general- I find I’m allergic to a lot of “natural” ingredients like avocado oils, camellia, sunflower oil, and random plant extracts. This shampoo doesn’t have any of that besides some eucalyptus & mint but they don’t bother me. Anyway- 10/10 recommend! It’s my holy grail!

Improves my dry scalp when used with matching conditioner. Big improvement over past products used.
This shampoo has improved the overall condition of my scalp but must be used with matching conditioner to get the best results. It tends to leave my hair dry. It may slightly lessen the color especially if you have gray hair but it is a good product for dry itchy scalp. Although I don’t have the “ deep itchiness” I had, my scalp still feels dry and irritated sometimes. I wash my hair twice, so I use this shampoo the first time and another for color treated hair the second time. It needs to be more moisturizing for me. I do recommend itl

Great shampoo
L'Oréal Everpure Scalp Care & Detox cleans and refreshes my hair. Please use with a L'Oréal Everpure conditioner. I did purchase the set also when it was available. I use this 2 times a week. I rotate it with the L'Oréal Everpure Volume shampoo. When I dye my hair I use the L'Oréal Repair & Defense shampoo once a week. L'Oréal Everpure makes a variety of great shampoos. I use the Volume shampoo as my main shampoo. The Detox shampoo cleanses product build up, excess oil, and dandruff flakes. It has a light menthol fragrance, which is soothing on my scalp. I don't have dandruff, but I do get build up on my scalp. This product prevents that from happening, so my hair always feels great. I recommend this product. Recommended use is 2 times a week unless otherwise determined by your doctor.

Great Scalp Cleaner
I was happy to see this shampoo here, so I have tried it and am now on my second tube. It leaves your scalp tingling and clean. This line of shampoos protect hair color and I'm glad to see that L'Oreal now has one that also thoroughly cleans the scalp. There is a reason for "wash, rinse, and repeat" because the first time cleans the hair of oils and styling products, while the second sudsing cleans the scalp. This is not a moisturizing shampoo, but I use a leave-in moisturizer and detangler for that purpose before drying my hair. I'm very happy with this shampoo and I feel it definitely does the job.

Strips your hair down makes it super dry
I got this because it was recommended to use between other loreal products I recently was asked what kind of shampoo I use by a disabled friend of mine that doesn't get to wash her hair very often and I will told her that the L'Oreal sulfate three line is the kind of hair product that's so affordable that even if I was a millionaire I would still use it! I love every single product on this line and have ordered almost every kind. However this particular shampoo dried out my hair and stripped it of the color. However it felt great to have fresh clean hair without any product build up. But it made my hair so dry that the next time I tried it I tried that kind and the next shampoo was a different kind and I made sure that I put a lot of conditioner in there. It worked better but my stylist asked me not to use it again particularly before going to see her because anything she put it in my hair was going to react differently but if you've got some scalp problems etc maybe just using it on the scalp in a different shampoo for the rest of your hair would be the best bed because L'Oreal is amazing and I'm not going to stop buying from them but this particular shampoo does warrant a warning to those that expect the quality of the L'Oreal sulfate free line. These people will be disappointed and feel like their hair is made of straw however it still is a great product and might do best simply on the scalp and using a different shampoo for the rest and a good healthy conditioner to follow up. I've tried this and it's not a foolproof plan but it's something. In the future I will only use it on my scalp and use a different shampoo for the rest of my hair because it is a good product and it's worth it especially if you have dandruff or dry hair that becomes oily because of the dryness and during the season changes this is very important to keep the pH balance of your hair straight just use it on your scalp not the rest of your hair unless you are confident that it will not strip your hair or make your hair like straw. Good luck and don't stop ordering L'Oreal just because this one might have dried your hair out every single one on the product line I have tried and love. The bonding shampoo and conditioner can be a bit much but the idea is to get as much protein in the strands of the hair as it can take so that it doesn't break but the bonding shampoo is fantastic so fantastic that when my hair grew out the color stayed the same showing that I had roots When usually that doesn't happen that's how good the other product is however when I tried this one I was very disappointed again there's no problem with using it on your scalp and using a different shampoo for the rest of your hair it's a great detox and it smells amazing :-) so long live L'Oreal and their entire product line and a word of caution to those that are going to use it on their entire hair and they go to this dried my hair out no more L'Oreal no trust me I have tried all of the l'oreals sulfate free and this is the only one that has disappointed me so thank you L'Oreal for making me beautiful and giving the haters a reason to hate and a word of caution to everyone that this can dry your hair out so just put it on your scalp and use another L'Oreal shampoo for the rest of your hair :-) good luck and stay beautiful!

Makes my hair squeaky clean and promotes new hair growth
I love this L'Oreal detox shampoo because it gets my hair and scalp squeaky clean and promotes new hair growth. I use it about three times a week. Some of the reviewers talk about getting ultra-tangled hair when using it. To solve that, I always use a vent brush (like the Cricket Static Free Fast Flo Vent Brush) to untangle my hair before rinsing out my conditioner in the shower. Holding my head down, I start at the ends and work gently upward. It takes only a couple of minutes and my hair remains untangled after rinsing and drying it with a towel. With this technique, I found that I use much less conditioner.
