Great earbuds!
Overall these earbuds met my expectations. Great sound quality, great battery life, small compact sturdy carrying case, smooth connection, fit comfortably for long periods of time. Personally I really like that the side control buttons on the earbuds are physical buttons rather than touch controls. With the side control buttons you can perform the following actions: Next Song - 1 press left Previous - 2 press left play/pause - 1 press right accept/end call - 1 press right siri/google assist/bixby - 2 press right You can also just use only the right or left earbud in mono mode and then 1 press will be play/pause and 2 press siri... Cons These earbuds are not on the list of supported devices for the JBL headphones app so you won't be able to do any EQ customization or personalization. There are no way to change volume with the buttons which would have been nice to see. The one time I've found this to be a headache is when using the earbuds with my Samsung smart tv which didn't allow me to change the volume of the earbuds from the remote or settings. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be way around this because these earbuds are not supported on their app.

My ears don't hurt anymore.
The reason I bought these is that my ears hurt after I used my earbuds at the gym. Many times these ribbon things just fell out of the ear due to odor, so I needed to shovel'em again and again to keep listening what I listened. Quite soon my ears started to hurt, so I decided to get something truly wireless and ribbon-less. These earphones do the job, the bass is quite good, but of course not that good as the vacuum earphones, so be considerable and accept the price. But! These things are way lighter than anything I had before, they don't fall out. And I don't know if these are just mine or not, but they keep running for 3-3.5 hours or maybe four, but surely not 5 without recharge. And I use those on 80% of the volume, because higher is too loud for me. Anyway, I enjoy these, not only because they're good, but as well because they're cheap, I got it for 50 USD with a 50% discount.

WAIT TILL THEY'RE ON SALE
UPDATE 09/23:: I bought these in 11/22 and less than a year later after only moderate use the right bud will no longer turn itself on when pulled out of the case & it will also no longer hold a charge. The left bud still works, but the battery life is more like 4-5 hours not 25 hours. I liked these at first, but it's just been issue after issue so I would not recommend these to anyone. ::UPDATE 09/23:: (ORIGINAL REVIEW) I got these when they were on sale for $50, and for that price they're great. I've had them for about 2 months now & here are my thoughts: PROS: This is the earbud style I like, I don't like trying to wedge different sizes of squishy pieces into my ear - these are hard to find, so big plus on that front. As a result of this, there is a lot of noise bleed from your surroundings - but this is not necessarily a bad thing (sometimes I still need to hear). The sound is great, no complaints. CONS: I love how compact the case is, but actually using it is a pain in the arse. The lid barely opens enough for the earbuds to clear, so if you're trying to take them out one-handed then good luck. Also there is very little to grab onto when the earbuds are in the case, so when you're trying to take them out the lack of lid clearance has made me fumble & drop them regularly. Battery life seems to be average, but one earbud will sometimes randomly play the tone to reconnect during whatever you're listening to.

Not what I expected
I purchased these earphones to replace a pair that I had misplaced. However, before the new earbuds arrived, I found the old ones and decided to keep the new ones as my backup. I just opened them last month and they were not new😳. They were nasty, with grime in every crevice and earwax in the ear holes. The wire mesh was lose in each bud and worse, they stick in you when you try to put them in. I tried to clean them up but they are filthy. And now I’ve waited too long to send them back. I’ve bought several pair of these and I love them. This pair was a shocking surprise. I advise you open the package and check them even it they will be a gift. Otherwise. JBL makes a high quality product!

Sounds great when they work correctly, but they rarely work correctly
I have a JBL pill speaker, I got my wife some T225 ear buds that worked great, and I bought a car with a JBL sound system that sounds amazing, so I was happy to choose JBL's again for upgrading my own earbuds. I don't know if I just got a defective set or something, but I have had trouble with them almost from the start. 1) Sound issues I use my earbuds daily: when I walk my dogs at night and also if my workout that day requires them over the pill speaker. Any time I would have my phone in my right pocket I would have issues with the sound. Whether it was the sound cutting out completely, slowing down, or speeding up, I would get maybe about 5-7 seconds of good playback followed by 7-10s of issues. If I take my phone out of my right pocket and hold it in my right hand it works better but I still have some issues, and the same is true if I put it in my left pocket. The only way the headphones work correctly is if I am holding my phone in my left hand and have it raised part of the way up to my ear. So when I workout I have to suffer through the sound issues for any exercise where I don't have my left hand free to hold my phone up. I can walk my two medium sized dogs just fine as long as I hold both leashes in my right hand and carry my phone in my left. It's obviously far from ideal, and far from how all my other JBL devices seem to work just fine. 2) Charging issues Charging seemed to work fine for about a month after I purchased these. But now they just do not charge at all. I've tried various plug and cable combinations, all of which work for my other JBL devices, but nothing will charge these things now. So they are essentially dead now, naturally after my window for a refund has passed. 3) Unwanted connection issues After using these I would put them in their pod, which is supposed to shut them off. But instead they remain on and connected to my phone. If I disconnect them they just eventually reconnect. If I manually turn them off and place them in the pod, usually around 30 minutes later they are somehow back on and connected to my phone. It got to the point that I had to have bluetooth turned off when I wasn't using these to prevent them from messing up use of my phone.

Great headphones paired with equally great frustration
If I could I would change rating to 2.5. I've used these headphones for a few months now, so I think I have enough use to write a decent review. I have been mostly satisfied, but equally as frustrated with them. I'll list the Pros and Cons below. These headphone have great sound, and I love the ambient noise control settings. I use these headphone during my commute, just to jam out, and during work occasionally (thanks to the TalkThru and Ambient Aware), so it is fair to say I use them frequently. What has been the most frustrating is seemingly and sadly also paired with those same ambient settings. It started as early as 1-2 months in, but would come in and out so I never wanted to waste the support ticket. I would be listening, and I could hear the headphone automatically adjusting. At first, I thought that was a cool feature! However, it VERY FREQUENTLY will turn into one side not having ANY low end and sounding thin like it wasn't in my ear all the way (though it was) or like one sides ambient settings were different than the other, and the other side having either full range or no high end. This is quite annoying, tear-inducing and overall unlistenable experience. It feels like I'm wearing wired headphones that have damaged cables. On top of that, it would come in and out, sometimes changing every 15 minutes, sometimes it will be like that for days, and randomly work fine. They will fall out of your ears with certain movements, so I have dropped them once or twice, but they shouldnt be so fragile that a short fall ruins them. I've tried cleaning them out VERY carefully which helped with sound clarity and maintenance, but never fully solved the problem. I'm to the point now where I just started considering myself lucky if they work right. :( Overall, as a producer and general enjoyer of all things sound I would still recommend these headphone, but maybe don't sweat? I'm not too sure. Pros: • Great sound • Versatile/Useful Ambient Settings • Long Lasting Charge • Case holds good amount of charge • Case charges headphones fast • Easy to use (connect and pair fast) • Lightweight • Touch Gestures/Features are flexible and convenient Cons: • Inconsistent listening experience • Very frustrating issues • Headphones don't always disconnect when in case • Switching between devices can be a hassle • Delay between settings adjusting • Mics pick up ALL outside sound during phone calls, people on the other end can hear EVERYTHING • Headphones don't stay in ear the best/Will fall out with changing position UPDATE: Reached out to customer service which was easy and smooth. They offered some troubleshooting and also set me up to return them and have them replaced. Planning on updating the review with the new headphones once I've tried them out. Thanks for reading!

Great Earbuds
These earbuds were super easy to pair to my phone. Then I needed to use them with my laptop, and they were easy to pair with it. Then I wanted to use them with my tablet, and they were easy to pair with that. When I want to use them with my laptop or tablet, I just click the "connect" button on the device to pair them. These earbuds will connect to any device that you have your Google signed in. For other devices, you just go through the normal pairing process of scanning for available devices and pair. The sound quality is exactly what I expect from JBL, are super comfortable, and fit perfectly in my ears. The battery life is great as well. The case stays charged it seems like forever, and I have never actually had it die on me yet. I just plug it up and charge it about once per week, and even then it still has charge left on it. The case charges the buds, and the buds last about 6 hours for continual podcast listening. I love the fact that you can use these individually as well. I need to be able to hear in my surroundings, so I use 1 earbud at a time most of the time.

Best bang for your buck (Update)
I bought these in Oct of 2021 when they were reasonably priced at 60 bucks. These headphones held up pretty well. But a thing to worry about is that the earphone bud casing tends to fall out and stick up over time and there seems to be now way to stick it back on, which is kinda annoying. Also they pair weirdly, i have the s20 so in order for you to get them to pair properly you HAVE TO HAVE YOUR BLUETOOTH ON YOUR PHONE BEFORE YOU PULL OUT THE HEADPHONES TO CONNECT OR ELSE IT WON'T PAIR if you do vice verse it won't work....idk why..kinda weird but oh well i guess..Don't spend 100 dollars on these honestly. If you catch them on sale again for 60 then MAYBE get these other than that 100 bucks is not worth it...sound quality is good
