Hard to describe, but absolutely perfect!
First, I love how difficult to describe this perfume is. At first spray you get a very forceful yet classically "old lady house" smell which I wasn't crazy about initially and felt a little miffed the scent didn't seem to match the reviews calling it a spicy oriental. But the key to this perfume is patience! Once it's dried down it smells beyond gorgeous and in todays sea of popular gourmands it's definitely a stand out perfume and wholly unique. Despite becoming deeper and warmer as time goes on, it doesn't loose that sweeter hint from the florals that makes up the heart of the perfume. It's like you can smell, in real time, the layers unfolding around you. The projection is also CRAZY for a toilette, I expected this to be very close to the skin and to fade quickly but that was an incredibly incorrect assumption. I sprayed this when it arrived this afternoon, it's now 7pm as I'm typing this up and it hasn't lost any projection. If you're looking for a warm floral with amazing longevity, this is it. No floral I've tried here in the states comes even 1% close to this one in that respect.

An amazing vintage perfume
Such a beautiful fragrance, it smells vintage and unique, classy, elegant and so feminine. Very floral and powdery, good projection, medium longevity (in my own experience), but for this price you can atomize several times without feeling guilty. This was a blind purchase, 0 regrets, actually I have bought two more bottles (one for my daughter who also fell in love with the fragrance, and one for me as a back up, my first time buying a back up, that says a lot), because it is an amazing perfume, I have never ever smell something similar.

Awful
Ugh the scent is horrendous! If you dug up my 100 year old grandma, I imagine this scent is what her clothes would smell like. Absolutely awful!!

Great Value for a Fall/Winter Scent
This is a warm, Oriental Spicy scent that is perfect for Fall/Winter. However, even though I can place this in a "family" in terms of what type of scent it is, I wouldn't say that it is like anything else that I have in my collection, or anything else that is readily available in my part of the US. At first, I had problems getting the scent to stay on my skin. But, I had a skin issue flair up and I started bringing down my facial serums and moisturizer onto my neck. Then, I would layer my body lotion over it. I found that if I used a lot of lotion and moisturizer on the areas that I typically sprayed, it lasted much longer than it did when I did not. On the days when I used a TON of moisturizer, I got over eight hours of noticeable wear from the scent. But, I wouldn't say that the scent was overpowering or overbearing. I really like this scent, and I'm going to keep it in my collection.

Wonderful scent!
If you, like me, find all those omnipresent "vanilla" scents unbearable - this one is worth a try!! This is NOT a vanilla smell - a miracle! It is rich, deep, and yet light - it doesn't stick to you like a disease.

Bargain Beauty
A rich scent that despite the myriad notes is easy to wear and fairly light. (listed notes: Aldehydes, bergamot, orange blossom and peach; heliotrope, jasmine, rose, lily-of-the-valley, orchid, iris, tuberose and ylang-ylang; and amber, benzoin, cedar, civet, musk, sandalwood, Tonka bean and vanilla) Myrrh, light resinous notes with a green/yellow pollen feeling, like flowers blooming in the sun. There's fruit, but it's not a modern fruit, being much drier and not sweet. I suppose it's an oriental, but it's so light it doesn't strike me that way. The pollen note is divine., laying light green over that resinous sheer cool base. Seriously inexpensive too, so worth the buy.
