OMG, why even sell something like power cable and not include an important detail like wire gauge?

I contacted Vanxse asking what gauge wires in this cable, got an email response back in only an hour. Their reply: "it is 24W", guessing that means the wires are 24AWG.

Will this work for a FTD exterior dome camera?

Yes, I literally just plugged it into an FTD camera to check. That is why I purchased it.

What tools and material can be use to shorten the power cable so I can make my own length? Like how a cat5e is terminated.

I wouldn't cut this cable if your going to use outside. It would be hard to insulate it. plus the wires are so small it really hard to re-connect

Do i need the sd card?

Sd card for what? This is just like an extension cord.
