Some Important Details...
I would call this a very basic, functional decorative lock. The lock is not spring-loaded so you need to use the key to secure the lock instead of simply clicking the arm back into the hole to lock. Other than that, it is a perfect match to my bourbon barrel converted to a liquor storage cabinet. Size is relatively true to measurement. Good value for the price.

LOOKS THE PART. GREAT AS A PROP. FUNCTIONALLY WORKING BUT SLOPPY, SLOPPY BUILD QUALITY
It's a good imitation insofar as appearance is concerned. It is a working lock but there is an awful lot of 'play' or 'slop' if you will. It fills my bill as I needed it only as a prop for some video production I'm working on. As far as a working lock, again it's sloppily and poorly constructed [even worse than an original] but hey, ya get what ya pay for.

Decorative Lock
I purchased these for my wedding to use for our unity ceremony. They worked great. They must be unlocked and locked with the key. I saw some reviews who said they thought they were broken because they didn't just push shut like a padlock would. You must use the key to re-lock them. It was perfect for what I needed them for. Very happy with this purchase.

THIS IS TRASH — DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY THIS LOCK!!! First time I used it, closed my locker and when I try to open it again, it was stuck. I need to use a saw or pliers to open my gym locker now. What kind of crap are they selling??

It does exactly what it is supposed to it is not a super lock.. If you are having a hard time getting it to lock and unlock it's because you turn the key a full 360ﾟ
