Awesome knife that is EXTREMELY corrosion resistant
The Para 3 is a classic design for a reason, it's a great design and the Light weight version of it is the best in my opinion because it really is incredibly light weight for a very capable 3inch blade cutting tool. It's a spyderco so ease of opening with the thumb hole is awesome and the action is fast and snappy and flicks open with a quick snappy action. Durability is awesome, FRN is extremely tough and this knife is basically totally corrosion proof with no dissimilar metals so galvantic corrision isn't a concern and everything is extremely corrision resistantant materials. With the heat treat protocol that golden spyderco used on the magnacut they found the hardness to temper at and the heat treat protocol to maximize corrosion resistance of a very corrosion resistant steel. Functionality of the Para 3 is a thing of beauty, you have a very capable cutting tool that is ultra light weight and comfort in hand and in pocket and ready for work. The size is perfect for those that are looking for a smaller and lighter knife that is in the 3in and under blade length range. Spyderco has magnacut dialed in and are putting out the best magnacut on the production knife market and really doing this steel justice. Spyderco magnacut is out performing every piece of S35vn and S45vn that I own and giving edge retention that is a little better than the best S30V that I own. It sharpens so nicely and comes up nice and crisp and super sticky, I'm not a huge magnacut fan in production knives to be honest but spyderco golden has it dialed in better than any other production knife company on earth. Most production heat treat magnacut is just okay at best and most of it leaves a lot to be desired but spyderco golden really makes magnacut perform very well. If your looking for a highly corrosion resistant /border line corrision PROOF knife this is a great option and priced very well. Mine had a little lock stick so I sent it back for a replacement and that happens from time to time with compression lock knives, you will get one every now and then that has lock stick and if you get one that has it and it doesn't break in after like a 100 open and closes then I suggest returning it for a exchange it happens but fairly rarely so it's not a big deal to have to exchange one every now and again.

Exceptionally Great Spyderco
I didn't think the Para 3 was for me. I prefer a longer blade like the Para 2. I have a pile of those. Still . . . they got me with the cobalt blue handle color. My favorite FRN handle color that I have missed out on when other “Sprint Runs” have sold out before I found out about the knife. I wanted to try the new SPY27 blade material so I figured I would “put up with” the shorter blade. I still feel the same about the blade length, give me a longer blade or a much thinner much smaller knife for this blade length, that said this Para 3 is really well made : blade pivots well, the steel alloy is better than I expected in my standard blade alloy test of which I will elaborate later, the color is so nice, the handle really fits the hand, the knife is light and very pocketable, the price works for me, the lock works great. If I were to ding it I would wish for a thinner blade. This is as thick as the Para 2 up near the pivot. If you want a little, very stout, knife this will work. If you want a knife that blows you away with how it slips through what ever you cut then grind it thinner, get it ground thinner or buy the Chaparral or the Centofante ( I have all three in my stable ). My test ? At work I make the same carving / sliver trimming cuts over and over on the same abbrassive hard rubber material. This puts some side load on the very edge and some alloys get sick from it. For instance : Basic blade alloys like Case or Swiss Army go dull and or roll the edge in a few cuts. Spyderco alloys do this : S110V can’t take it and gets dull relatively quickly (it’s the side loading) M4 can take it all day and goes for ever and stays quite sharp Maxamet goes as long as M4 but M4 retains that silly sharp edge longer even over Maxamet. VG-10 does alright no big deal (much better than Case or Swiss Army). HAP-40 almost as good as M4 SPY-27 some where in between VG-10 and HAP-40 leaning toward the latter which is really quite good ! ! ! In spite of my self I like this knife quite a lot and the SPY-27 alloy is a real winner !

Habe sehr viele Messer.

It’s a Spyderco knife and a great little knife by definition. Light weight, super sharp blade and opens easily one-handed. Well made knife.
