One Of The First Lenses, If Not the First Lens A Person Should Buy for Micro Four Thirds...
It you are investing into the Micro Four thirds System (Especially if you are new), this 14-140mm lens is one of the first of two lenses I recommend anyone to purchased. It is very well made. It has an equivalent range of 28-280mm in FF coverage. Which provides a wide range of possibilities. It is Sharp, and the Optical Image Stabilization contributes to that also. The Image Quality is very good too.I started out with the fastest glass I could, so I went with a set of F 0.95 Voigtlander lenses, which are phenomenal. My first Zoom lens was the M.Zuiko 12-40 F 2.0. However, I should have started with this lens instead, along with the Panasonic 25mm F1.7.I originally thought that the F 3.5 - 5.6 was going to be too slow and dark so I went with the expensive and fast lenses. Ultimately, I just did not really know what I was doing, and thought I was too smart in the beginning. This 14-140mm should have been my first Zoom Lens when I started to venture into Micro Four Thirds. My first Prime Lens should have been the 25mm F 1.7. If I am being too redundant, its because I cannot stress enough, how it all should have began...

GREAT Walk-around/Travel lens
This is a really great walk-around/travel lens. Gives you a decent wide angle and fair amount of telephoto reach, all in a somewhat small package. I felt like, overall I got pretty good results with this. As with most zooms, I tried to stay away from shooting all the way out at 140mm (280mm; 35mm equivalent). Even my full-sized Nikor zooms soften up a touch all the way out. Very happy with this lens; it'll always get packed in my travel kit.

Impressive lens
Simple review: I have been a photographer for 45+ years. I have shot with Leica, Canon, Nikon, and more. This is, without doubt, one of the finest lenses I have experienced. Sharp, sharp, sharp all the way to the corners, at any focal length. Well built and compact. Hey gang, that don't come much better than this.

Good lens just not perfect 5.
First day with this lens. I had/have Canon EF 28-300mm (using metabones) which I was hoping I could leave home if I got something comprable. What I really enjoy is the light weight balance of this lens. It's easy to maneuver if you need to get that right shot. For me I bought it for sports. Football and track recording. The most impressive function of this lens is getting a decent wide angle shot of the finish line. You are too close for 200mm and u can't move around when runners are sprinting a 400m relay so this lens truly gets you that ability to record around the track without sprinting yourself. The 280mm telephoto is okay. The best part of the telephoto on this lens is steady shots with dual OIS. You definitely notice picture jitter without dual OIS.For the downside. First is out of the box the construction feels cheap. Literally feels like a hollow tube. I know we are trying to cut weight, but I feel like we are sacrificing durability and possibly quality with non composite lens material. We'll see after a few more uses. Another issue that is driving me a bit skeptical is the focal/zoom ring. Or could be just that the lens is new, but when zooming it tends to semi catch on clutch. Like the motion isn't smooth and fluid. I understand it's brand new but it just shouldn't be such a jerky zoom right out of the box. I'm hoping it just needs to get broke in and the zoom itself needs some movement to get worn in. I don't ever remember m. Zuiko lenses ever having this prob.I gave a 4 out of 5 stars primarily because I feel it should cover 180mm not 140mm. Another 80mm does make a difference. With the extra zoom, u could easily make out runner's faces at the starting line while recording from the finish line. The zoom ring should be fluid right out of the box.

You can take some bomb pictures with his lens
Great lens! Sorry my review isn’t very lengthy, I thought I’d let the pictures speak for themselves.

Lightweight!
What a great lense! It's very light weight compared to most of my other lenses which don't have the same range.
