This windshield sun shade umbrella is a game-changer. I was intrigued by the design, and after using it, I can say it's fantastic. It provides a super dark, almost blackout effect in my 2025 Toyota Sienna, doing an excellent job of blocking UV and insulating against heat. It deploys to cover the entire windshield, though you need to be mindful when opening it inside the car as it's quite large. However, the best feature for me is its storage. It collapses just like an umbrella and tucks away into my center console without any fuss. No more bulky, flimsy shades taking up passenger seat space. It's a clever, effective, and very convenient sun shade.

I was nervous about this one, I hate dealing with the ones you have to twist and fold. The accordion ones aren't as bad and I really liked the concept of this one. I live in south Georgia and its over 100 degrees when I leave work in the afternoon, so I needed something. This is really simple to use and stores very well. I was concerned that the handle would damage or scratch my screen, but I just use the umbrella sleeve over the handle to protect the car screen and it works perfectly. I bought the Large and it fits my 2019 Honda Pilot perfectly.

So far so good. I’ve had this for almost a month. It works just fine and fits my windshield well. I do have to use the sun visors to keep the corners in place and it does feel a bit flimsy but so far it hasn’t broken and the umbrella mechanism makes it quick, easy and convenient to put up.

Protects the sun well, light weight and somewhat easy to install. But I've only had it for a couple of weeks and its' already broken. After the initial umbrella the parts that move a little more freely to adjust to the window always poked through and came undone. It still operates as this part can be tucked under the visor. But I've had 3 dollar visors that twist up last years. I bought this item in hope to be a more premium option with better coverage. It definitely does its job but not sure much much longer if it continues to break.

Very compact, will fit between seat and door (folded of course.) Covers windshield well.

Absolutely love this sunshade. The best part is that it is super easy and quick to install. Makes a big difference in the summer months.

Blocks the sun!!

This is my first umbrella type sun shield. My old aluminum z-fold crumbled into whitish powder and others I had weren’t tall enough to stay under the visors. This is clunky to open as the handle wiggles, I guess to get it out of the way. I find it difficult. The whole mechanism is made of hard plastic so I expect with the intense heat inside a car, it will shatter in a few years. In the meantime, however, it does completely block light out of the front windshield. I have a Subaru sedan, 2013. The umbrella is too big by about 4 inches on the top and sides. However, it is flappy enough to jam that part under the visors and it stays in place. It’s pretty easy to collapse, like an umbrella. I’ve only had it a few weeks.with that in mind, I recommend it if your old shields collapsed into the front seat while you were away. There is a slot cut into the umbrella for your rear view mirror. If you have a handicap card or anything big hanging there, it doesn’t fit and gets knocked off.
