In winter 2024 I rebuilt the headlamps on a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, motivated by crizzled and fogged lenses that needed to be replaced. I removed the headlamps from the car, split the lens from the base by heating them in my kitchen oven, and cleaned everything up. "While I was in there..." I thought that perhaps I should replace the bulbs. I discovered the car still had the factory bulbs, which worked well. I also discovered that the connectors to the bulbs were stuck so badly that I doubt I could have removed them with the assemblies in the car. I decided I would replace the bulbs as part of the project. It took a long time to find a bulb that is an OEM replacement without paying the price charged by a Chevrolet dealer. These are OEM replacements, and I think that Osram was the original equipment supplier. Note that the factory bulbs have a color temperature of 4300K, not 5000K as some may believe. These bulbs are a direct replacement. There are a lot of counterfeit bulbs. I appreciated Osram's certificate of authenticity, and mine were authentic. I wrote this review almost 18 months and 8,000 miles after installing the bulbs. So far, so good.
