Love this taste. I'm a huge spice fan. I love cayenne pepper, cajun spice, korean chili pepper powder. I love all kinds except black pepper. I actually find that to be intolerable. This isn't as hot as the ones I already mentioned. It has a light heat balance. It's a nice size jar, and a good value for the money. I used it in a cabbage soup and it turns that funky vegetable into a bowl of delight.

This was my first try of Aleppo pepper (pul biber). After hearing Christopher Kimball from Milk Street (podcast) talk about this all the time, I was very interested to try it for myself. This was one of the better deals I found online, as local "international" stores didn't carry pepper labelled as Aleppo pepper. I didn't have time to try the small middle eastern stores nearby, therefore Amazon. There was another 150g offer from a different vendor at the same price, but it was in a bag, and I don't have a spare bottle for this. Anyways, it appears the many comments/complaints by the other Amazon reviewers was received. They secured the cap with an extra plastic overwrap, and it appears it is much harder to have the lid just "pop off" on accident. Also, the inner seal was tight, with some parts where I had to go back to pull off seal remnants because my obsessiveness was acting up. Back to my experience: when I got the bottle and it looked like it wasn't filled all the way (see photos), despite the good seal and plastic overwrap, I went to measure how much pepper was actually there. According to the scale, 148g measured (with some left in the bottle sticking to the walls, and we did try a little the night before to see what the fuss was about, so I believe it was 150g to begin with), so do not worry about the extra air space in the bottle, you are getting what you paid for! The taste of the pepper is a red pepper with more flavor notes than your regular "pizza joint" red pepper flakes. I like it, but the price is much higher than "American red pepper," so this one is going to be pulled out only on special occasions.

I never had Aleppo pepper before. This is very tasty, not as hot as cayenne. It is almost Smokey in flavor. I like it a lot.

Really good tub of Pul Biber chilli (which I didn’t know was also Aleppo Pepper!) Good value for money. Used it in quite a few Middle East dishes - tasty sweet heat

This is the best I've tried , will be sticking with this one, not too hot , wonderful flavour , I use 1tsp for a pasta dish that serves 3-4 people 😋 nice fine flakes so its easy to add to taste .

I’ve bought these before and enjoyed the mild chilli flavour but this time the tiniest pinch blows my head off. I honestly am confused now as to how hot Aleppo chillies should be! Can’t tolerate these at all !
