Great for light sleepers
Before buying these, I had been struggling to find earplugs that filtered out enough noise to keep me asleep at night (I live in an apartment building with a spouse that works nights). I'm glad to say that these were the perfect choice. They fit snugly, and I even find that I can sleep on my side without ear in pain. I have sensitive ears, so if I'm sleeping real hard that night, there may be a bit of occasional soreness, but nothing that lasts. As long as you insert them correctly and wait for them to expand properly, you're sound proof for as long as you're wearing them.I accidentally put a pair through the wash one day, but they survived with the same amount of elasticity and everything. Didn't use em after that because I was afraid of getting an ear infection from lingering laundry detergent or something, but took it as a sign that they're durable. They'll definitely survive if you get em wet.You don't need to throw them out after every single use if you keep your ear hygiene up to par and take care of them after use. I have a small case to store the ones that are in use for the week. It's proper bang for your buck if you take care of them.

Hands down the BEST earplugs for Motorcycle riders we've found
We both want our hearing protected as motorcycle riders, and we've tried all sorts of earplugs. Not fitting the ear canal, being too short, too bulky, not expanding, causing pain, we've run through it all, until we tried a sample bag we had of these. Where it came from is unknown, but when my husband gave them a fit, he said they were the best. OK, so I ordered these from a seller on Amazon, gave them a shot, and I was absolutely impressed and pleased, they shut out the wind and road noise, and the conversations we have with our helmet bluetooth sets are more clean and clear than before. And they are very comfortable. My tip for my use, as my ear canals are different from each other, I just mash the suckers into my ears, and wait a few moments for expansion. They expand well, and are still comfortable and 100% effective. And they stay put. Rolling them into a taper and inserting them into the canal didn't work for me.I subsequently ordered more so we would have plenty plugs on hand, as we do a large amount of power tool and chainsaw work around the place, and I wish to not run out.Absolutely recommend, but with everyone, we're all shaped differently, YMMV.

Good enough
Got these for loud snoring in our work dorm. I can still slightly hear through them with really loud snoring but it does the job well enough to allow me to fall asleep.

These get the job done
These get the job done and last a while! It's been 2 years and I still have some left. It doesn't block out everything to the point where you can't hear your alarm or anything, but it blocks out just enough like your boyfriend's snoring or your loud, talking family screaming down the hall late at night. Took off one star because I haven't tried other earplugs to compare it to.

Quiet time, finally!
After trying many different well-known brands Moldex is by far the best. I can't handle noise once I'm in bed and with very noisy neighbors I'd almost given up. They are soft, malleable, and as a side-sleeper they are super comfortable. After rolling, push the earplug inside and hold your finger on the flat end until it expands to fill the ear canal. All noise will be reduced and with practice will disappear completely. They are truly a lifesaver!

Great product and price
I'm a light sleeper. VERY light sleeper, so I don't ever expect something to completely block out noise, and really, it's probably best if nothing ever does...fire...emergency...etc. So, while I didn't give these a perfect 5 in any category, I really like them and would recommend them. Ear plugs aren't really comfortable when you wear them for multiple nights in a row, but these are as good as you can get in my opinion. I didn't hear any noise outside my hotel rooms when traveling through Ireland this summer. Loud noises inside my room, however, I could still hear ever so faintly. If I fell asleep before my traveling buddy, however, I wasn't bothered by any noises and slept perfectly. Totally recommend these if you're looking for a good night's sleep. I also used a sound machine when traveling ($20 one at Bed Bath & Beyond) to have a constant noise so that any noises made by my traveling companion wouldn't disrupt my sleep. It worked for the most part, i.e. I got sleep and wasn't a tired, grumpy jerk the whole trip. :)

For those that demand the MOST noise reduction these are ...
For those that demand the MOST noise reduction these are the ones. Installed correctly they eliminate ALL wind noise for you motorcycle riders and around the yard the leaf blower, chain saw etc, is totally quieted. They will harden up after awhile, don't be afraid to wash them and throw them out and treat yourself to a new pair. I've tried all the rest, they do NOT block sound as well. Check the noise reduction specs before you buy any others and you will see the facts.

disappointing waste of money
I've bought these three times. The first time, they worked great. They expanded quickly, so it only took a minute to put them in. They blocked out my husband's snoring and any other distractions. I thought I had found the perfect earplug. With the next order, they didn't expand very quickly. I held them in my ears for what felt like forever waiting for them to expand. And once they did, they weren't blocking out all the snoring. I threw those out. Out of desperation, thinking maybe I got a 'bad batch,' I ordered them again a few days ago. With these, they came packed so ridiculously tightly, they seem to all be permanently gouged and scarred and bent up and are completely useless. No returns with these, so this is the last time I waste my money. I'm really disappointed!
