It just kills me when I see people propping up a pickup cannopy or a SUV hatch with a stick. Knowing that it is a very easy and cheap fix. Even the most novice person can install these in just a few minutes. The design and technology on these have not changed on these in decades. And as a result most vehicles and things like truck canopies and tool boxes are using the same ones and they are all u oversaw fit. Just need to match up the size and what wieght they are wieghted for. I just upgraded my trucks canopy, what I did is look at the P/N printed on the old strut to get the size and wieght. I upgraded from a 38LBS one to a 40LBS one in my case just because I felt it needed it and like I said they are universal. Each end of the strut has a ball joint that the mounted ball on the vehicle fits into. It is held onto the ball with a simple c-clip that you can used about any thing to remove, screw driver, etc. In my case I used a bottle opener on my multi tool. I have used this brand for years they are well made and reliable. And very reasonably priced.

Strong shocks and good quality. Was concerned when they didn’t come compressed that install maybe a bit difficult. But had no issues at all.

Item is exactly what I needed. Stonger than the originals. One is more than enough to open my toolbox, despite it having 2. Had a slight issue getting the first one on, but no issues with the second. Easy to exchange and install.

Replaced struts on my Leer canopy shell back window in 5 min. Perfect fit, snaped right into place.

They work great and fit well on my truck canopy. Bought the 38# ones when my existing failing shocks were 34#. It was quite a difference even with only 4 lbs difference each side but maybe that was because the old ones were weak. These were very strong at first, but they've settled in nicely and work smoothly now after about 6 months. I'd buy them again if I needed to.

So far so good (after one week)! Great replacement and much better price than the original. Time will tell how long they last.
