Replaced battery on alarm system
This battery worked on Simon XT alarm system. Batteries fail for me every 18 months. Easy to replace.

Good Battery
When I installed this battery to replace the one in the Simon XT security panel, it showed "low battery" on the display. I had read a few reviews that said that their battery arrived "DOA." At first, I thought there was a problem, but I waited until the next day, and all was well...the battery was fully charged, and the unit runs perfectly. The moral of the story is 1) the manufacturer should be up front and tell buyers that they must fully charge the battery so it will perform correctly, and 2) some reviewers may need to wait a day or so before making their product evaluation.

Not a good replacement
I received this battery to install in my GE Simon XT Alarm Controller after receiving a low battery fault from my panel. At arrival I installed the new battery. Woke up the next day still showing a low battery alarm. Gave it a week or so for the panel to charge it and it still showed low. Put it on my battery tender over night and reinstalled it the alarm finally cleared the low battery fault. Should not need to charge a new battery. I am guessing this one sat on the shelf too long.

Quick, easy and cheap
My central station alarm includes its own cellular connection. This is the battery to provide backup, should the power go out, so that the alarm still works cellularly. This inexpensive battery saved me an expensive service call to replace a battery, which was easily done, with no tools.
