Great light, super bright.
So after using this for a while, it has been a real solid light, works well, super bright, easy to program the clock and the timers after you look at the instruction video. I love that it is adjustable in 10% increments on all of the different light settings. Only thing I noticed...it forgets everything if the power goes out and you have to program everything again. My other light has the ability to save everything when the power goes down. Other than that this is a really great light, I would buy this again if I get a second tank.

Perfect for planted aquarium
This is a good light, but now there is even a better light in the market called the Brite which is bluetooth activated with UV light and easier to customize for your planted aquarium. This light is pretty easy to program, I’m not sure why I see so many reviews complaining that this is a difficult light to program…. Took me like 5 minutes to set up for a Siesta Planted Aquarium for my 29 gallon and 5 gallon planted tank. Plant growth has been crazy with the Siesta Method. Currently I’m using a Siesta Method with this light with the current setting: To set this light for custom mode. You first need to turn off all your other mode first or it is not going to work! Then you simultaneously press the setting and light bulb button at the same time. Remember need to set it to ON then press the setting button again, and you will start with L1 with the flashing number on the right. The number on the right indicates the intensity. Press up and down to control the intensity. Once you are satisfied with the intensity, press the setting button. The left side time flashing is the time your light will be on. The right time flashing is the time your light will be turn off. Press setting to confirm your time and it will switch to L2, repeat your step. Literally L1 - L8 is like a timeslot that you can customize…. How can people not understand that?…. L1 - L6 is full spectrum and L7-L8 is night spectrum. Always have 0% on L8 if you dont want algae. If you want algae and have your night mode on the whole night then go ahead. Light 8am - 12pm on. 12 - 4pm off. 4 - 10pm on. This would allow for a 4-4-6 siesta planted aquarium. L1: 8 - 9: 50% L2: 9 - 12: 100% L3: 12-4pm: 0% L4: 4-5pm: 50% L5: 5-9pm: 100% L6: 9pm - 10:30pm: 10% L7: 10:30 - 10:31pm: 0% To turn off the night light L8: 10:31pm - 7:59am: 0% To turn off for the night and reset back to L1 time This siesta light setting is perfect to view your aquarium and let your tank Co2 reset. This also reduce algae. This siesta method also work if you have a Co2 tank, you can also use this setting for your solenoid Co2 7-11am on 3-9:00pm on

Perfect light for a glofish tank with live plants
I was looking for a light with the 24/7 mode so I don't have to worry about turning my lights on and off manually and forgetting to turn them off at the end of the day. I also needed a light with the blue light for my daughter's glofish tank but I didn't want it I be blue all day as I needed the regular light to keep the live plants happy. This was the only light that would check all those boxes. It turns on in the morning based on what time you set it at and then at 6:30pm it switches to moonlight mode (blue light) which is great for the glofish to pop and then it turns is m itself off at 11:30 or what ever time you set it to turn off at. The whole point of 24/7 mode is to be able to set it and forget it but being a glofish tank I wanted to have the blue light in the evening and into my daughter's bedtime. I only have 2 issues with this light that I don't like and reason for my 4 star rating. 1. It's almost too bright without the ability to turn it down in 24/7 mode. I have the 24 watt one for a 10 gallon but wow at 100% it's really way too bright and has caused major algae issues that I've finally gotten a handle on. 2. The controls are absolutely awful! I really wish this came with a remote like my nicrew but instead they are on the unit itself which is not good. For example to switch from manual to 24/7 there isn't a simple button for that. Instead you have to push to buttons simultaneously and hold them for a couple secs, then push on or off and then push the light button. It's not user friendly what so ever. Overall I really do like this light and the fact that it goes from normal light to blue light all within the 24/7 mode is the only reason I bought it and continue to use it. If you don't have glofish along with live plants I would advise getting a different light like the nicrews which are amazing in my opinion and about the same price.

Very bright, should work well for planted tanks, but.........
UPDATE Dec 30, 2022: Hygger has been very good throughout this issue, always getting back to me, and exchanging lights. As it turns out, there was a firmware mistake which prevented the Dusk function from working properly. Once they ran some tests on a returned light, they discovered it, and they readily admitted it. They then let me know when the batch with the new firmware would be available. The updated version works perfectly! This light is great for plants and put out plenty of visual light. My wife's plants do very well with it. And Hyyger's Customer Service is excellent as well! Initial Review: My wife needed a light for a new 20 gal planted tank. We already had the same model in 48in/72W. So, the 26W light was the choice, mainly because of the brightness. The problems are simple: Programming. My other, bigger big light is exactly the same way, a pain. Our first 26W unit couldn't be programmed properly. Since they didn't bother to send a manual, we used the one from our nearly 4 year old unit. Since I was somewhat used to them, programming didn't seem to be too bad. All I did was set the time, and the length of time I wanted the light on. That way, it should ramp up, and then ramp down prior to going on and off, simulating dawn and dusk. Dawn worked fine, but I could not stop dusk from ramping down halfway, and then switching off completely. After pulling my hair out, I sent it back for a replacement. The new one made it with a manual, but I had the same issues. The manual is very incomplete, and in English written by someone who is Chinese. It really needs to be rewritten by someone who really speaks English, and a Troubleshooting section added. Sunset and sunrise are mirror images of each other. Increase to about 50%, wait 1 hour, and then over 15 min increase to 100%. Sunset should be the same. Decrease to 50% over 15 minutes, hold that for an hour, and then decrease to off, over 15 minutes. Our light decreases to about 2% and holds that for an hour. Still awaiting a reply.... This could be a 5 Star light, even though it is made in China, but it's poor programming methods hurt it badly!

Great customer service
Updated review: The seller reached out and offered a replacement which I received promptly. I have been using the replacement now for a week or two and it works beautifully. Turns on and off when it should and even has "off" as one of the options as you click through the colors, etc which the last one didnt have. Every time it messed up and did its own thing I would have to unplug it and completely start over. Because of the great customer service and receiving a product that works as stated I have upped my rating to 5 stars. Original review...it started just doing whatever it wanted. I had it set to turn on slowly over 15 minutes at 7am and to do the same but shutting off the light slowly over 15 minutes at 7pm. It worked great for a short time and then started doing the blue moonlight at 7pm and now the light shuts completely off (no dimming over 15 minutes) at 6:30pm and then turns the blue "moonlight" on at 7pm all of which has also never been set and then off 11:30pm so its literally just doing what it wants when it wants and its been changing daily. I haven't ever turned it off by unplugging or lost power so its just wonky and not working as it should. For the price it definitely has not been worth it for me.

Programming nightmare
The control panel will make you crazy! I mean crazy! If you touch the light at the edges to move it, slide it forward or back when cleaning your tank or electric goes out, just for a second, the lights turn off and it loses the programming that you enter, so you have to start from scratch all over again. The first day I programmed this thing just to mimic daylight at least six times. The next day I had to do it even more. I am at a point where I will try putting a piece of tape over the screen and use an old fashioned timer on it. Bad design. The light itself is bright but the whole design is maddening. Programming it will drive a saint mad. I mean I had to put it on a timer because it is impossible just to have the light come on and turn off at set times. If you want to remain sane and not waste hours trying to program this thing, stay clear. I wish I had. Also since you will be fiddling with this light trying to program it and reprogram it, I'm not sure what will happen when it inevitably gets wet or falls into the tank. **Update after using light for a month: The programmer does not work. It is not consistent. The day after I program it, it works. After that, the light just stays on. I reprogram it thinking I did something wrong and it just does not stay programmed. The DIY mode has eight scenes and you have to set them all to program it. If you want the light to turn on for a set time you can program that time in the first scene and leave the other 7 with 0 intensity. The last two scenes are blue only light. I bought two on my 56 high gallon tank and these are bright. I inject co2 and need bright light for a time during the day. I got two so that it would cover the front and back well. Some of my plants require bright light and with two, it's more than enough light but I need to be able to control when the light starts and stops and this is where the problem lies. With programming it. Like I said, for the first night it seems perfect but after that, you'll have some issues trying to keep it programmed.

Mixed feelings about this one
Mixed feelings about this one. I bought it for my 55 gallon planted aquarium as the price point was appealing for a full spectrum 48" long LED lamp. However, there are some setbacks, the two main ones being : (1) it does not have a reserve battery, not even a small bank for the clock, so if you unplug, lose power, etc, it resets the whole thing and you have to set the time and on/off schedules. And then (2), one week into my purchase I already noticed weird behavior, such as last night I decided to cycle led colors and it got a mind of its own, keeping the white lets on while cycling the color ones. Usually, it is one or the other (full white, or full color) but with the white leds on permanently, the color changes were barely noticeable and did nothing for dimming the intensity. So I basically unplugged it, plugged it back in, had to reset the whole clock and schedule, and then it started working. very glitchy. I am a little hesitant to expect too much out of this lamp for the long run.
