This was the perfect width, and is a good, sturdy threshold. I had to cut 3/4" of the length off, due to my doorway size, but had no problem triming it. It arrived quickly, is a good value for the money, looks great.

These arrived in great packaging from amazon. I was initially disappointed in the quality of the finished surface. The bottom side had some foreign brownish material on the bottom. The top side had a 10 inch scratch diagonally that looked terrible. Now I know these get beat up with use.. but couldn't it look good BEFORE I even put it down? Second piece was even worse with mottling and bright/dark transitions that looked obvious. I took a 5 inch orbital polisher to both pieces and 10 minutes later they were acceptable. On the bright side, they were true and very sturdy. My use case was not for a threshold, but as sill plates for an older conversion van. They cut nice and I covered much of the aluminum with anti skid tape. These are great for a rental, garage, or other non esthetic area of lower priority. For a primary home use- I would send them back.

Strong aluminum construction

This was a replacement aluminum threshold 6 feet long and 5 inches wide and was predrilled with 6 each counter sunk holes. The ad and packing slip on the threshold under a plastic wrap indicated that screws were included.....it should hae been safe to assume that would include 6 (six) screws - one for each hole. The first package came with no screws and the plastic wrap was torn in several locations - perhaps allowing screws to fall out before being shipped. Amazon graciously shipped another threshold at no cost and said keep the first one. The second (replacement) threshold also had torn wrapping but there was a separate plastic wrapped set of only 3 (three) screws loose in the bottom of the box. I'm going to purchase my own screws so I'm not ordering another threshold as it will delay completion of the project but this supplier should be made aware of their defective packaging procedures. I gave it three stars because the threshold itself is very good but had the lack of fastening devices held up the project it would not have been good overall.

We tore up carpet in a narrow hallway and replaced it with a lovely full length hall runner we found here on Amazon. When we took the old carpet up we found linoleum under it. It also left a wide area in a doorway between where the runner was laying and the carpet in the room off the hallway. We found this wide door sash that solved all our problems. My husband had to cut the length down to size and also cut out notches on both sides to fit the wide area properly. He said it wasn't too hard to do. It was just a matter of making sure he had his exact measurements correct. In a matter of an hour all the "sins" in the doorway were covered. We had a beautiful smooth transition from the edge of the hall runner to over the edge of the carpet in the room off the hall. The color was perfect to go with everything. We liked it so much, even though we didn't need such a sash, we ordered another one to go in the doorway off the room directly across the hall so everything matched. That will transition from the edge of the hall runner to linoleum flooring. By the way, it's great for wheelchairs to roll over.

I've seen reviews saying this is 5" not 6" as described. Purchased it anyway cuz its close enuf as I can't find the exact size I want which is 6 3/4". Fortunately the one delivered is in fact 6" wide as u can see from pic. Perfect replacement for thr ugly silver one I had which also had a higher profile. This is for the basement entrance and i cut it with a dremel to fit and laid it down with PL n supplied screws to concrete. Nice flat design and great colour n quality !!

Product was excellent quality and easy to install. "Bronze" is on the dark side of brown. A little darker than I had hoped.

Had to cover a concrete floor seam in frt of a door threshold with these on a reno. I ripped them to the size I needed and did 2 doors. Worked out very well and left a finished look after they were installed and caulked.
