I bought this to house a very special candle. It sits up on our mantlepiece front and centre and looks great. It feels very sturdy and even the door latch and hinges feel strong enough. I have been using mine now for a couple of months and it still looks as great as it did when I first bought it. A total bonus that I hadn't thought about, was through the summer when our fans were on all day I could still have my candle lit! It is a pretty lantern and I am very happy with my purchase. Recommended! xXx

Would definitely recommend. I bought this along with the white version and they are both really nice.

I am very pleased with the look of the lantern, although my husband said it looked “a bit tatty’ but I think that is the way it should look, ‘shabby chic’ some would say. The feet are not level so it’s a bit wobbly but no one will notice that whilst it sits on my hearth.

Just the right size and shape. It looks really pretty with a faux candle, which shows dappled light through the top. When it arrived, I thought it looked more gold colour than expected, but now I love it!
