The first bag i bought i had to crush the kibble. Next bag got small breed and uts the perfect size for small dogs. She eats every bite, i do mix meat in , but even uf i did not. I think she loves the taste.

Most of the time the dog food looks good. Sometimes it's too dark. The quality has changed. Switched a couple times but came back. The price has risen way to high so I'm looking again.

We used this food for an aging chihuahua and chiweenie that have allergy/stomach issues. They really liked the food, but after a few months, the chihuahua started in with his symptoms again. That means a food change is necessary. As for the chiweenie, she seemed okay with this food, although she continues to have vomiting & diarrhea on occasion. I can't blame that on this food as she is a champion beggar and she has her marks in our household, so I KNOW she's getting "unapproved" foods. I have found that a probiotic supplement addresses those digestive issued better than anything else. As for our chihuahua and his allergies...I can't blame it on this food. Kibble is only half of his diet. He was fine with it for months, then suddenly the symptoms reappeared, despite no dietary changes.. We KNOW he is allergic to chicken that is used in dog food, but can eat chicken prepared in homemade dog food, so go figure. I am guessing that it is something used in conjunction with chicken used in dog food, a preservative or chemical used in processing. I don't know if an ingredient was recently changed (we're on the tail end of a bag, so the bag is long since in the dumpster.) So, we're off this food and about to wean him onto a new one. His garbage pail kid companion (the chiweenie) will change over with him to keep things simple at our house.

Great product for do with allergies. My dogs allergic to almost everything but this food works great.

My 6 year old 5.5 pound papillon-chihuahua is allergic to everything. He’s had allergy testing and for years I have searched for a food that didn’t: a) break him out in hives b) cause immediate GI issues and vomiting c) didn’t flare his severe skin issues (think plaque psoriasis) d) that he’d actually eat and e) that doesn’t have pea, pea protein, or brewers yeast. I’ve done all the frozen, fresh, homemade, etc foods with no sustained success. I’d tried this brand several times but not this flavor. Other flavors have one or more of the above issues. After a week on the SB Beef and Brown Rice flavor, he is back to playing full-force with his doggy brother. He’s running around and actually eating 90% of each meal. If you’re thinking of giving this a chance, do!

My dog has chicken allergies, so finding a food with no chicken byproducts in it is hard. We went through so many different foods until we found this one, which has now become his go-to. This food is perfect for his needs! Allergy friendly, good for his sensitive tummy, and small in size (my dog won't eat anything too large). I do wish that this bag was resealable, but we just store it in a separate air-tight container without any issues.
