Steri-Strip™ Reinforced Adhesive Skin Closures, R1546, 1/4 in x 4 in (6 mm x 100 mm), 50 Bag/Carton, 4 Carton/Case

I recently had a melanoma removed from my arm. The incision was supposed to be the size of a nickel, however the Dr didn't have enough skin to close so she had to make a much larger incision. Long story short, I had a 2" long incision in the middle of my lower forearm. We were going away a week after I got the stitches out. Because of where it was, the Dr suggested I used Steri Strips to give my arm time to heal and it would also help keep the new skin healing together. She suggested I change out the Steri Strips about every 3-5 days while we were gone. She said to use soap and water to clean my arm before I attached the Steri Strips. In order to remove them so I didn't run into problems I was supposed to slather vaseline on top of the steri strips before I went to bed and they would come off easier in the morning without any pulling on the incision. It worked like a charm. I was using 3 steri strips, one directly on top of the incision and then the other 2 overlapping the center one so there was a lot of strength over the incision. I had been worried about removing them, but the vaseline trick worked really well. They did get wet when I showered but they never came off until I used the vaseline. They hardly took up any space in my packing and gave me a lot of peace of mind in my recovery. They are definitely a great price and shipping was fast with Amazon.

I have not used yet, but wanted to report on quantity as the listing is confusing. There are 5 envelopes with 10 strips each, so a total of 50 steri-strips.

50 Bag/Carton, 4 Carton/Case is a confusing description of what quantity you actually are ordering. That is the only descrition given as far as I can see on the page. The price per count does not really specify if count is per strip, but that is the only dollar-wise possibility for these medical strips. I keep them on hand, and they have been life and limb savers in the past. I ordered 2 of the item listed on the page, and I received a total of 100 strips. Two outer bags contain 5 labeled bags of ten strips in each. So, fifty per order, 2 orders gives 100 strips. Divide price (6.99) by price per count (0.14) and get 50 strips. Bad description, but still a very good and useful device. For best adhesion you must thoroughly clean and dry skin, then apply a skin prep such as tincture of benzoin to ensure adhesion. Antiseptics/antibiotics are up to you and your physician. An excellent value and product. Worth five stars if properly described and quantity made clear. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Medical quality, secure for cuts, incisions. Hold up in water. Same as doctors office. Much better than anything at a local pharmacy. Great price and great for the price.

I have been to wound care at Stanford. I have had extensive experience over 20 years. This is the best way to close a wound sterile very clean very good no other bandages hold the sides of the skin so well they can heal quickly. I can’t recommend it enough after extensive experience with doctors and nurses top hospitals in the world.

Sadly this really don't work well. The majority of times they just "pop" off. Even if its not on a highly moved area. Strangely enough the one time I got it to work it was on my knee. They would still peel up at the ends, but then I just cut off the ends and it would stay on. I was able to successfully apply them two times. The second time I had it stay on for two days, until I chose to remove it. Not the best product, but if you take the extra effort to figure out a way to make them stay on, they really do help the wound heal faster and have a much thinner scar. I got two cuts and used them on one, and not the other. Both are basically healed, but the one with the strips is less noticable.

Title says '5 envelopes of 10 strips' but this is just one envelope.

It does not work as mentioned in description, its just as just doctor tape or you can say bandid of rs 5, overall very useless product. do not go for it. No recommendation at all.
