Great product
This item actually works! I have bought this so many times. My cat had peed on some of my items and this detergent took that sell away first wash. Its worth the the money. Wash item is cold water and use this product you can mix it with your regular detergent and it should take the smell away. The smell isn't that bad if you mix it with your normal detergent. They package it well so I had no issues with a leaking bottle which is great. Easy to use.

Done right, it leaves no odor.
This stuff is great, amazing, and truly life changing. I was asked to do laundry for an elderly relative in a care home for a month. Turns out the relative was incontinent and the nurses would kindly seal the clothes in a plastic bag each week for pick up. The smell was past horrific. The desire to just buy new clothes only lasts so long. Then I found the Febreze Laundry Detergent Additive and paired it with Lysol Laundry Sanitizer. Let’s be clear. This product does not remove stains or clean clothes. It does however remove the smell, so much smell. The horrific clothes in a bag, the wet dog smell on the dog bed, old gym clothes, the musty towels, all had the smell removed. Here are some important notes. I only use the full recommended amount on the bottle for the truly horrific smells. The amount used for everything else is reduced depending on the smell. More stench; more product, less stench; less product. You can smell a perfume in the product when you add it with the detergent. If you can still smell it when you pull the laundry from the dryer, you added too much product. If you did use too much, dry the clothes again, the scent will go away. If you get it right, when you pull the clothes from the dryer, they smell like nothing. That is correct. They have no smell at all! We have started gifting this Febreze Additive and the Lysol Sanitizer to every family member with pets to wash blankets, chair covers, pet beds, everything. The new smell of clean has no odor at all.

Clean smelling
I have dogs and cats. This review will mostly focus on the dogs’ bedding and towels. The bottles come well packaged with styrofoam and in a box with the top taped down. I have ordered this numerous times and it has not been damaged. Now my dogs like to run in mud and sometimes have accidents. I use this with pre-treatment, detergent and scent beads. I think that combination works. I can actually smell the scent beads and not wet dog smell when it comes out of the washer and dryer. So I do think it helps with the odor.

My Go-To Solution for Pet Odor in Laundry!
As a cat mom, I've tried lots of different kinds of odor control products for our laundry & this Febreeze for the laundry is the absolute best! It's easy to use - a little goes a long way! Refreshing smell but def not overpowering, as some can be. It does a very thorough job - gets out all the pet smells. And a great price for such a large quantity.

saved my socks from cat pee, 10/10 would recommend
I have two cats, one of whom is a senior tabby, and an extremely anxious dog. The dog is mostly housebroken, but sometimes when our schedule is thrown off she still has accidents. I was recently out of town and even though the sitter I hired did a fantastic job the dog still went on the floor at one point, and then again after I got home from my trip the first time I went in to the office for the day. This would have been fine (I use Bubba's Pet Stain and Odor Eliminator on my floors and it works like a charm) except that the smell of the dog pee triggered the tabby cat's territorial instincts, and he proceeded to use my sock bin as a litter box. The smell was PUTRID as only angry male cat pee can truly be. Rather than just throwing ALL of my socks in the trash (which was admittedly an extremely tempting option at that point) I put them in a plastic tub with some Bubba's and hot water and soaked them overnight, and then rinsed them out and did a second soak.... and then a third... and still my bathroom and most of my apartment stank to high heaven. So, noted, Bubba's is great for floors and hard surfaces, but apparently not so much on fabric. After using most of my gallon jug of the stuff during this soaking process, I hopped on here to order another, happened across this product in the recommendations, read through some of the reviews, and purchased it in desperation. Both arrived last night, and this morning I poured a few glugs of the Febreze Detergent into the still-soaking bucket of socks (probably abt 3 capfuls?). It has been about 4hrs and the pee smell is GONE. Hallelujah, my socks are saved!! I still need to actually run them through the wash but I am already just so impressed with this product and will definitely be purchasing it again!

Seems to work well
This worked when other products seemed to fail to remove cat pee smell from some items. I add some to my (top loader) bleach reservoir, so that it goes at the beginning of the wash, and then a splash in my rinse aid reservoir so that it gets one more "hit" of it during the rinse cycle. Light, but pleasant scent - not too strong (I don't like typical fabric softener scents because they are so strong) .
